Spin The Bottle // Ryder & Piper
@ryderstypewriter
Surrounded by the other staff members of the Brielle Institute, Piper watched the empty glass bottle spinning round and round and pointing at various people as it stopped. The person who spun the bottle and who the bottle pointed to when it was no longer in movement would force the two beings to lock lips in a kiss. Spin the bottle it was. A rather popular little game that was played in numerous kinds of environments. Normally it was done at parties with drunk teenagers or those getting high of marijuana. But with adults? Yes it was probably still just as popular and common at a party or something that needed a little entertainment. However, spin the bottle with your co-workers? Well, Piper wasn’t entirely sure on that one.
Even though Piper was rather on edge with this trip - considering she was more an introvert then a people person, she decided to put herself out there and mingle. She wanted to make a good impression with her co-workers, so why not? This trip to Cancun, Mexico was a great idea for the staff and patients. Everyone had been hard working and on their way to recovery that they all deserved a little rest and relaxation. So Piper came along to join everyone too. Besides, it was a good way to get to know everyone. In this current circle of staff members surrounding the bottle, Piper barely knew anyone - especially on a personal level. Granted she didn’t really know anyone on a personal level. The red head was more into her work and her dream to become a surgeon. So she didn’t feel the need to get personal with anyone at the institute, that wasn’t going to further her career. She just needed to focus on the patients that came to her and the surgeries she took part in. Piper probably got as far as people’s names when it came to a personal level. Which in her opinion, was all she needed to know. Well, maybe that and the kind of work they did at the institute.
And so the bottle came around to Piper to spin.
Out stretching her arm, she placed a delicate hand on the glass bottle and spun it round and round with the flick of her wrist. Piper’s hazel brown eyes stayed glued to the bottle as she watched where it would land. And where it landed was to the person beside her on her left. Looking to the man beside her, Piper only knew him as Ryder. Dark black hair and blue eyes with a bit of brooding expression,. The intern recalled seeing him in the hallways of Brielle. She suspected he was a security guard given the attire she had seen him dressed in. But other then that, she hadn’t engaged in conversations with him or even really knew him apart from his name. This was one hell of a first impression that’s for sure.
The red headed beauty angled her body towards him and cleared her throat. There was no need to strike up a conversation since she for one had no idea what to say. So instead, the corners of her lips tugged into a small smile before she lent forward planted her cherry red lips against Ryder’s. With her eyes snapped shut, her lips moved against his own slowly. She ignored the prying eyes around her and focused on the dark haired man Ryder in front of her. She committed herself to this game so she would see her turn though. Piper wasn’t sure how long they had to remain lip locked, but after a moment or two, she pulled back. The kiss was definitely enjoyable and it wasn’t a sloppy drunk kiss which she very much appreciated. Her eyes fluttered open as she once again gave a small smile in his direction before returning her attention back to the group.
“That ends my turn.”
She stated and allowed someone else to volunteer.
