Lei didn’t enjoy trust exercises. She found them difficult and awkward. So, upon exiting her cabin, she veered off sharp left and headed round the other side from where they were happening. She felt quite unwell today but she was going to push through, determined to find some kind of enjoyment at least. She wandered down to the lake and found herself sitting down round the edge, dipping her toes in and out. She barely realised anyone else was around after a while, getting caught up in the security net that being alone brought her that day.
It happened quickly. She’d been caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, two people shoving one another, one body crashing into the petite brunette’s, her red drink spilling over the front of her outfit. Her cheeks by now probably matched the bloody color staining her shirt. It seemed as if she couldn’t enjoy anything about this place - almost as if she were entirely invisible. Blue eyes scanned the scene, attempting to determine how many people witnessed her mortification.
“Alright, now that it’s finally dark,” Ryder said, casting an annoyed glance to the sky, “it’s time for some ghost stories.” It had taken an obnoxiously long time for the sky to finally darken, but that was what happened when you were camping on the equator.
Looking at the faces around him, lit by the tall flames of the maybe overkill campfire, he started to grin. “Did y’all ever hear the one about warden’s daughter and her dog?”
God, i hate how she does our hair. Carrie mussed up the curled blonde locks that were so picture perfect, pulling them up into her signature high pony tail. She gave herself a look in the mirror, tightening her pony tail. Why does she insist on making us look so fucking prim and proper!? The girl in Lavinia’s head was rattling and growling, a desperate need to get out, and what better, than in a brand new tropical environment. Carrie could feel Lavinia’s subconscious yelling and screaming, and the girl huffed with an evil smile. Gave herself one last look and turned around, heading out the door.
She didn’t know where she was going, or what she’d end up doing, but she also didn’t know how much time she would have. Her life was littered with broken memories and lapses in time. Suddenly she woke up in Mexico, but who knew the next time she could come out to play. It was probably better anyway - Lavinia hated travel and didn’t do well with it at all. Carrie was happy to take over for a bit.
She walked along the grounds, wandering upon some randoms sitting around. “How in the fuck are we supposed to not die of complete boredom?”
“You gotta picks your swords up firsts!” Levi laughed, shaking his head as he held his own sword - stick really but it was a SWORD if you asked him - “We gotta go beat up the dragons! You needs a sword silly!”

“Alright campers LISTEN UP! We’ve all spent a long time on the road, our muscles are cramped and dying to be USED. I want to see you attacking that obstacle course! Let all that tension and frustration you have out in that water! Show me what you’re made of Brielle! Get out there and have some FUN!” The tutor’s overly enthusiastic voice carried out over the water, past the blow up mountains, inflatable slides, inner tubes and many other floating obstacles that were intended to get in the way. Lifting a whistle from his chest the tutor let the sound chirp through the air, signifying to the group of patients around him that they were cleared to begin using the space.
The chance of setting was nice and to be perfectly honest Jared was ecstatic with his task to run this particular event. He was also tasked with basic life guard duties what with the activity taking place in the water. Just beyond the edges of the obstacle course were several red buoyant spheres, each painted with a white line all connected with rope to signify the perimeter in which anyone in the water was not permitted to cross. Should they do so it was also Jared’s job to reel them back in. The course itself wasn’t set in water too terribly deep but the waters beyond the barrier continued to ascend in depth proving to be slightly dangerous to anyone who wasn’t a strong swimmer.
He surveyed the action happily, clad in his rather loud Hawaiian themed swim shorts, R2D2 tattoo on clear display. The water colour tat adorned the back of the tutors left calf, a sight that could be missed unless you frequented the gym or pool on site at Brielle. The only person who wouldn’t be surprised at its existence was Demi but that was for an entirely different set of reasons. It would have been nice to have her here with him now, but they had to at least try to stay separated for at least PART of this trip, lest the residents of Brielle catch on to them sooner rather than later; or in Jared’s best interest not at all.
BARBIE ASKED:
🍋 you have recieved a bitter graham !! your prompt is … is there anybody in brielle that you are crushing on ?? tell us about them …
Whose idea was it to play these STUPID ice breaker games? It wasn’t as if Demi didn’t know the people surrounding her – in fact, she knew them all too well. As it was getting later, some patients disappearing off to bed, the brunette joined the nearest group around, plonking herself down in the circle – brushing shoulders against Atticus. It seemed as though these luau parties were just for playing SHITE games like ‘never have I ever’ and ‘would you rather’. They were in Mexico, for fucks sake. People should have been doing the limbo, dancing around in hula skirts and making idiots of themselves, rather than trying to dig their way into peoples lives; DESPERATE to know their secrets. To tell the truth though, Demetria was being narrow minded. Sitting here in this game was a good way for her to discover all kinds of dark secrets about the people that she was living with. Soon enough, her hardened expression had melted into something more relaxed – hazels glittering under the dusky night sky, ready to start listening but of course, Dante had pointed in her direction FIRST; spitting the controversial question at her.
With a sigh, Demetria pulled her knees to her chest – a small smile littering across her lips, cherries curving upward at just the thought of HIM. His name didn’t even need to be said for a series of butterflies to rush to her stomach, sending her into a F R E N Z Y. There were hundreds of patients in Brielle Institute. Surely, it wouldn’t hurt to brag about her love interest to the friends surrounding her. The question was though – where could she possibly start? Maybe if she just told everyone what she had told Charlie, that would suffice. But at the same time, she wanted to tell them EVERYTHING. The brunette knew she would have to spare a couple of the details, however.
“Well... He has these HYPNOTIC eyes. They’re like the clearest of seas, a beautiful blue that I could stare into for hours. His body is carved to PERFECTION – I’m pretty sure that he was literally made by the GODS. I’m talking abs for days, a jawline sharp enough to cut glass, collarbones with these back muscles that resemble a superhero. His hair kinda flops to one side when he tilts his head in my direction, his smile is fucking beautiful... I can’t forget his personality either – he is literally the most ROMANTIC person that I have ever met. Cool and composed, adventurous but exciting. We have this connection that just fits like a puzzle piece; our humours are the same – inside jokes, finishing each others sentences... And NO – I am not telling any of you who he is. I have to leave a little mystery. How else will my name remain on your lips?”
Golden flecked hues glided over to Tic – a smile clambering to her cherries as the fire within her eyes igniting, glowing immediately into his direction. The beauty had even stretched out towards him, giving his arm a light brush with her fingertips because he seemed HAPPY. Demetria wasn’t sure whether he believed that she was talking about him – or if he was just glad that she had managed to find somebody who treated her like the QUEEN that he was. Had anybody been else been watching, the small look that she had shot in his direction ( as well as the little gesture of affection ) might have just made it seem as though she was talking about him. Atticus was romantic; he did whatever it TOOK to impress somebody and he was good looking with a body to die for... But he would never compare to Jared – nobody would.
