This had been something she’d been looking forward to for weeks. Months, if you wanted to get technical about it. It might have been the longest-running stretch of plans she’d ever made; she couldn’t quite remember now how long ago it was they’d plotted this, and she supposed that spoke for itself. “You know, I can’t remember the last time I had popcorn,” Cher mused aloud as she plucked a piece from the bowl sitting atop the coffee table.
Then, abruptly, the entertainer furrowed her brows. “And on top of that, I can’t remember what movie it is we’re supposed to be watching. And that’s how forgetful I am sober,” she joked, "That’s why I don’t drink.“ She rolled her eyes at herself. "Do you remember what it was? I know it was something I’d never seen before but I can’t remember shit beyond that.”
Jared adjusted his glasses as he made his way into the living room with a rather large bowl of popcorn, hopefully it would be enough for the three of them to share, and if it wasn’t, then he always had some more. “You don’t do movie night that often?” he mused, as he sat the bowl down onto the table where all three of them could easily reach it. “I do, actually.” he said with a smile and wandered over to the shelf full of movies and television shows that they had collected over the years. “We were going to watch Harry Potter--- I remembered that you told me that you hadn’t watched it before and I wanted to fix that.”
Making his way over to the DVD player, Jared popped the DVD in and made his way back over to sit on the couch next to his wife, who wanted to join in on the fun. “You really haven’t seen any of them before?” Allegra asked with a curious smile as she reached for the bowl to grab a few pieces of popcorn and popped them into her mouth. Jared grabbed the remote and started the DVD player. “We have a pizza in the oven.” he commented. “It shouldn’t be too much longer before it’s ready to eat.”
