✮*•̩̩͙✧•̩̩͙*˚✧*˚     The gesture was absolutely out of the ordinary for the red paladin, and he could feel the heat beginning to creep along his skin, soon finding its way to his face.  His cheeks turned a light pink as he found his hand AWKWARDLY brushing along the shapeshifter’s shoulders, running up his neck and along the top of his head.  Despite how flustered he was in the current situation, there was also a bit of a hint of frustration ;  he was just about to go to the bathroom, and here he was, the other’s head only inches away from pressing into his bladder.  He shuddered a bit, cheeks turning a dark red as he sat there, awkwardly petting the other as he laid in his lap.

There was a shout, one of shock and breathless terror that rose over the others. He could hear them even as he landed at the base of the cliff, angry and full of rage that he didn’t think people could actually express. This was just supposed to be a hike. A chance to relax, away from the city and his work.

Instead, here he was. Running for his life from a group of men fancying themselves ‘witch hunters’. Leilani didn’t even know people still did that in this day and age. That they hated magic so much that they were willing to kill someone over it. It was terrifying enough to just think about, but actually having people after him? If he could get back to the trails, maybe having others around might dissuade them...

Scrambling to his feet, he soon sunk back down with a hiss of pain. His ankle... It probably got twisted when he fell. Leilani rested his hand against it, healing it as quickly as he could. He still had to get out of there!

Not quickly enough. His head jolted up when he heard footsteps in front of him, his back pressing against the rocks behind him. The hunters had already caught up... “Stay back!” Leilani lifted his hands, bracing himself for what he might have to do. “I don’t want to hurt anyone...!”

Fuller is quite content. On top of getting to cuddle with Oro, he was starting to realize just how soft his fur was. That’s what he’s been calling it. Didn’t change the fact that it felt nice, Fuller running his fingers through the thickest parts with a happy hum.

At least before he suddenly leaned forward, burying his face in the fluff and snuggling in a bit.

Yes. And No. To both questions.

Even after the events of the movie, It’s hard for Jack to sort out his feelings about the moon. Sure, the Moon had saw potential in him and ‘rewarded’ him for saving his sister, but at the same time... To Jack, living an Immortal life, especially one that was full of isolation and loneliness - is not a reward. And even after becoming a Guardian, he still bears those scars.

A part of him feels like he should forgive the Moon. If only because the other Guardians accepted their own roles and how Jack came to be without question. He hasn’t had anyone outraged for him on his behalf or tell/confirm to him that what happened was wrong and shouldn’t of happened. So a part of him feels like he is being too emotional or that his feelings of bitterness isn’t justified. He has a new life, so he should be grateful.

And yet--- The resentment is still there. Perhaps even more so with his little snippets of memory back; he knows what he missed. He missed out on the rest of his life with his family, on a bunch of ‘could of been’s. Having a ‘purpose’ and title as Guardian isn’t something that he dismisses, and his new relationship with the Guardians are important to him, but he hates how he’s been set on the back-burner.

So... this question is really complicated. There’s no answer that he could give for either of them just yet, and he doesn’t really know if he ever will have a direct answer.

The more he thought about it, he didn’t want to go back to that home.

What kind of life was it to be chained to a tree, never going for walks, never getting to play? That girl and her boy were sad, but Bailey couldn’t do anything with the cold iron around his neck keeping him from going to them. Getting to ride in the car was fun at least. All the new scents made him happy. But when he got out, he realized that he couldn’t follow the big car that had brought him out there. A part of him wanted to go back but in his heart, Bailey knew that there was no point. Instead, he decided to follow the new scents and wander.

Cool moss, crumbling rocks, old trees in bloom with petals that scattered in the cool breeze’s breath. It tossled his long fur as he cautiously trotted through the dirt, nose to the ground taking it all in. He’d smelled these things before, but they didn’t have that scent of home. So he knew this place was not familiar. And just as quickly, he caught a scent that smelled equally as foreign and stopped, raising his head. His ears perked forward, and he let out a bark in warning. It didn’t smell dangerous whatever it was. But he could never too cautious.

“Who’s there?” He called out, tail fluttering in a nervous wag as he waited for a response.

The roar admittedly startled him, clear by the fact that Jax jumped a good foot into the air. That look said it all though. “...Eh,” he finally said with a shrug. “Why the fuck not?” He braced himself and took a deep breath, letting out the loudest scream he possibly could.

“Oh.” He literally asked for it, but the chills that ran down his spine almost made his knees want to fold. Instead he opted to lean against Oro, suddenly letting out a giddy giggle. “Oh god, that... Holy shit Oro, that growl~.”

“I don’t even remember having this picture taken.” He leaned over Oro’s shoulder, frowning lightly at it. It really did look like him... Maybe he was there, and just didn’t remember? That’s happened before. “What’s a denxo, anyways...?”
