Malik would probably take some time to finally say it, but that’s only because he doesn’t fall in love quickly and wouldn’t say it to his partner unless he meant it. That being said, if he’s dating someone, it’s only because he truly cares for them.
For Ryou, saying ‘I love you’ might come surprisingly easy, but only if he’s sure his feelings are well received. Rejection is a big fear of his, so he has to feel comfortable with the other person before he say is it.

Malik would love something like going to the park to have a picnic, or any form of sightseeing. If he’s trying to court you, he might want to show off and take you on a short trip- if he were in Japan he’d take his partner up the mountains to relax at an onsen. As long as it’s outside, it’s probably going to make him happy.
Ryou’s ideal date would be staying home and playing games, preferably with a large stack of sweet snacks to eat. He prefers quiet places, and likes that he can just stay in comfy clothes when he’s at home. However, he won’t say no to any ideas that may propose a little adventure, if his partner is up to it.

Malik is most familiar with filial love, and he has plenty for his siblings. Romantic love and falling in love would be something that’d take some time for him, as he’s generally closed off and has trouble opening up to others. However, if someone gains his trust and his heart, he knows he’s good with words and can be quite charming when he chooses to, so actively pursuing a romantic interest is something he’d eventually do.
Ryou’s got conflicted feelings about love and affection, as he craves it but feels like he’s undeserving of it. Whoever happens to fall in love with him will have to put some work into convincing him their feelings are genuine.
Falling in love for him wouldn’t take much, but in most cases he’d prefer to keep his feelings to himself instead of acting on it, unless he knows the other person rather well.
