Got this on a whim: its the HG Amplified IMGN Ryujinmaru! Was I aware of the ryujinmaru before making this? Kinda but not really! Is this kit awesome? Absolutely!

The basic idea of this kit is taking an SD design and taking it to normal proportions. What really makes this shine is all of the different textures and levels of gloss that the different colors have. I felt like giving this a top coat would really diminish the effects it has.

Anyway, this thing is stunning, super happy with it.

OIY, I dun even know what the show this Ryujinmaru bloke is from but Bandai sure went and glowed him the hell up with this AMPLIFIED IMGN redesign of the classically SD robo boi. Yes it is spelled IMGN and not “imagine” because... probably copyrighting lets be real.

This dude is PRETTY, so very very PRETTY. They used the proper gold paint for this guy, the super gloss white, and no stickers cept the eyes, those jewels around his sexy sexy stomach area are proper translucent bulb pieces.

He may be a little fiddly to pose (I absolutely HATE that MG style of hands...) but honestly not nearly as fiddly as you might think. And really most kits can’t, or can only barely, pull off the giant-sword-forced-perspective anime pose anyway (yes that’s below the cut, though not as forced perspective as I would’ve liked). If you just like building I def think he can be recommended, he looks great, builds great, and is only slightly fiddly, the best kind of fiddly.
