Oooooh boy, any headcanons about Sakura and Ryuji together?
So for Sakura, I’d say she acts as a vigilante throughout the story, awakening her persona during Kamoshida’s Palace at a time before Akira showed up. She was outnumbered at some point but had dealt a decent amount of damage on her own which is what causes Kamoshida’s shadow to run scared when Akira’s persona awakens to protect himself and Ryuji. When she plans to go out again to defeat him, the Palace is GONE and she is confused lol
They accidentally run into each other while he’s meeting at his ‘secret training’ spot and it’s super awkward because they’re both doing their own thing in absolute silence. Ryuji inevitably breaks the ice by asking her questions about herself.She was kicked from the girls volleyball club’s roster due to Kamoshida so they bond over bitching about him. After a time, they really come to trust each other and he accidentally let’s it slip (something small) about the Phantom Thieves. He tries to save himself by playing dumb but it’s too late now and he’s forced to come clean to the group. Sakura inevitably comes clean too and admits that she’s been watching them (not like Akechi lol) and that she really admired the Phantom Thieves and – after a quick meeting with Ryuji vouching for her – they welcome her aboard. Probably before Futaba’s Palace.During battles he’s super protective even though she can take care of herself just fine lolAlso, she’s always trying to correct his slouch and he ALWAYS whines about it.Her friends at school warn her about him being a delinquent which upsets him but she insists he’s a good person. It gets him all fuzzy inside and that’s when he knows he likes her.Their first date is at Leblanc and he’s so fucking nervous he spills his cup of coffee. Sojiro is just trying to mind his own business and the protagonist was exiled to his room until Sakura had to leave to go home then Ryuji runs upstairs to tell him EVERYTHING.He showers her with confidence even if someone does the same thing, Sakura does it ‘better’!He’s super into PDA too so the others get embarrassed by whatever he feels like doing that day.
