The prompt for this piece commissioned by @SkeletonGentlem was "Kiryu from #Yakuza and Tatsu from The Way of the House Husband" reaching for the same lettuce" & somehow I turned it into one of the most detailed pieces I've ever drawn?
Astonished even myself with the foolishness
A major aspect of world-building in Yakuza is the consistent sense that the player resides in an area with a relatively active populace. NPCs consistently seem to have their own interests and interactions with the larger environment, and as such, when fights break out and the game transitions to combat encounters, their reactions line up with those of people carrying out their daily business, rather than just scripted actions reacting to an in-game trigger.
