{{ ☣ }} Women were a concept Tsubasa had never had the chance to adequately understand. For one, when he was still a brainwashed soldier, his awareness of such irrelevant things as gender had been non-existing; secondly, the amount of female AIWs that existed were already low as it was. Unless possessing superior strength, most were scratched, marked as defects and tossed out to live in the wilds on their own. In a male dominated world amidst the battlefield, it was limited how many interactions he had with any such, and most of his memories were filled with screams and begging for mercy. Naturally women and men stepped equally in the underground shelters, but he had never had much to do with civilians.
{{ ☣ }} Needless to say, it was a peculiar feeling, to have been pulled from the battlefield and straight into this peaceful daily life. Many things he had to accommodate to, and when a female patron sat down next to him on the bus, the former soldier had no clue how to approach her. His sociable nature dictated him to speak to her, but what did women enjoy talking about? Her amount of refinement spoke of sophistication, of a world far removed from what he was used to. But instead of thinking about something clever and impressive to say, as was his habit, Tsubasa spoke the first and the best sentence he could think of.
“ Fun things, these ‘busses’, aren’t they? I’ve heard about them, but never actually ridden one. They’re pretty damned practical! ”
