@lapeirla asked: ❛ Why did you betray your own heart? ❜
“A common occurrence by now--a full resignation of knowing what I can control and what I cannot.” A brow furrows as he turns the page on his book, eyes moving through the lines written on the yellowed pages--not even looking up as he replies. He is a pariah of his own making, his own melancholic creation. If he has denied his heart and desires in the past, it has been to protect everything and everyone that he holds dear. In another world, on the pages of an alternate universe, his name might be displayed widely throughout history. In another world he would be recognized for his discoveries. Instead, he must lie in the bed he has made, if he has rejected fame it has been to protect the secrecy of the life he lives...or rather the life he and his found family live. Besides, how can he say he has betrayed a heart that has long since stopped beating? Taking a pencil in his hand, he moves to underline some words, marking his place, before finally closing the book. “Sometimes it is best to think of how your choices might affect others--if I have betrayed my heart, as you say, it is because of them.” He points up above the fireplace, a shadowy portrait hanging on the wall. Time has caused the smoke to opaque its surface and muddle the colors. Indeed, in the dim, flickering light of the fire it almost resists a reading. Yet, upon closer inspection one can make out the figure of an older man, sitting atop an armchair a dog at his feet, even then the unmistakable smiling face of Salazar can be made out, erstwhile the other faces are veiled in darkness. All that can be made out is that Salazar is indeed, surrounded by four younger faces--the family he had found. “BUT, you perhaps have not learned this yet?”
It's the stinky kings birthday tomorrow....
thyme and momo thyme and momo thyme and- i'm a bad person so harroy
Thyme x Momo
The ship is my: Idunnoship
I consider this ship’s feelings: Mutual | Mixed | Strange | Awkward | Platonic | Sibling-like | One-sided | They don’t really like each other |
I’d consider the relationship: Healthy | Awkward | Abusive | Doesn’t work properly | They’d never get together |
Children: No | Yes | They’d think about it
General Opinion: Y’see, Momo didn’t know them well then, and she doesn’t know them at all now, but... It’s a piece of work definitely. It would be an interesting sight that’s for sure. I’d need some actual interaction first though aha. I feel they’d only tolerate her, as of now, because Peony is fond(?) of her.
Harriet x Roy
The ship is my: OTP
I consider this ship’s feelings: Mutual | Mixed--as of now | Strange | Awkward | Platonic | Sibling-like | One-sided | They don’t really like each other |
I’d consider the relationship: Healthy | Awkward--as of now | Abusive | Doesn’t work properly | They’d never get together |
Children: No | Yes--I mean ouo | They’d think about it
General Opinion: Cute, cute, I love them, they’re really cute. Harriet has her moments of sass, but Roy adores her and the feeling must be mutual. They don’t deserve to be sad, but there’s a hitch in this romance get along right now :(
