Being a first year emergency medicine intern at St. George's hospital doesn't pay much, and in London it barely covers rent. But Patch is nothing if not innovative, and when they start offering cheap medical care out of the back of an old camper van in Peckham to their brother's friends, word travels fast. They stumble into the world of the Jolly Rogers by pure accident. After a shoot-out gone wrong and one of the Crooked Hand's assassins bleeding out on the street, Patch is first to dive in and help. They save the man's life which in turn leads to something similar to part-time employment for the Jolly Rogers, even if they don't consider themselves a part of the group. As one of the group's on-call medics they see a lot of shit and clean a lot of wounds, but it's all invaluable experience. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and Patch is willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead in their field.
