Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the signing of 2004-born defenceman Tre Fouquette to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Fouquette, a Warman, SK, product, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft by the Raiders.

Listed at 5’11 and 181-lbs at the Raiders’ 2019 Training Camp, Fouquette suited up for the Warman Wildcats for the 2018-19 season. He had 15 goals and six assists in 27 games for the Wildcats and added tow goals and four assists in five postseason games.

Fouquette will play the 2019-20 season with the SMHL’s Prince Albert Mintos. He suited up in the Mintos’ first two games of the season, helping his midget club to a pair of wins to start the year.

Fouquette is the second member of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft class to sign his Standard Player Agreement, joining first-round selection Niall Crocker.

The Barrie Colts have received a commitment from 11th overall 2019 CHL Import Draft selection Arturs Silovs.

The Latvian netminder was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft and recently attended Training Camp with the NHL club.

A 6-foot-4, 203Ib. goaltender, Silovs spent last season with HS Riga of Latvia’s top professional circuit, posting a 3.26 goals-against-average and .914 save percentage over 20 contests. He also represented Latvia at the IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship.

The 18-year-old had a solid OHL debut on Saturday night, turning aside 37 of the 39 shots he faced to earn second star honours in a 6-2 win over the London Knights in Barrie’s home opener.

Brandon, Man. – The Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that they expect to have a full complement of imports on their 2019-20 roster.

The WHL club has confirmed that Finnish forward Marcus Kallionkieli has signed his transfer card and is expected to join the Wheat Kings in 2019-20.

A 6-foot-2, 195-pound Helsinki, Finland product, Kallionkieli was selected 22nd overall in June’s Canadian Hockey League Import Draft by Brandon. He was also a fifth-round selection, 139th overall, of the Vegas Golden Knights in June’s National Hockey League draft and recently signed an entry-level contract with the Golden Knights.

SARNIA, ON - Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced today that the Hockey Club has received a commitment from Pennsylvania native Ty Voit.

Selected in the 5th round (89th overall) by the Sting in the 2019 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, the 2003 born forward brings an elite skillset to a promising young forward core. As a member of the 2018-2019 Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U15 team Voit recorded 18 points in 18 games played (8 goals, 10 assists.)

Voit was also a member of the 2019 All-American Prospects U15 team in which he had 3 goals in 6 tournament games played.

“This is a big day for our hockey club with Ty making the commitment to pursue his hockey career in Sting colours. He possesses high-end skill and the ability to make elite offensive plays with little time and space. His natural hockey instincts and I.Q. for the game will be exciting for Sting fans to watch. SAGINAW, MI – The Saginaw Spirit announced Thursday the signing of two players in advance of the team’s participation in the Preseason Showcase beginning Friday afternoon in Kitchener, Ontario.

The Spirit have come to terms with left wing Sebastian Bulovs and defenseman Roberto Mancini on an OHL Standard Player Agreement and Education Package.

“As an organization, we are pleased that these two players have committed to be a part of the Saginaw Spirit family, said General Manager Dave Drinkill. “By signing Sebastian and Roberto, we continue to build our team with homegrown talent. Sebastian brings an element of speed and skill, while we like the grit and mobility that Roberto brings to our defense. We look forward to watching them grow as hockey players, and as people.”

Bulovs, 17, was taken in the fourth round, 65th overall, in the 2018 Under-17 Priority Selection Draft. Bulovs spent the 2018-19 season with the Brampton Admirals in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, scoring seven goals and six assists in 47 games.

Mancini, 16, is a 2019 draft pick, selected in the fifth round, 88th overall, out of the Mississauga Reps Midget program. The Vaughan, Ontario native led all defenseman on his team in scoring with 12 goals, and 17 assists, for 29 points in 49 games.

Both Bulovs and Mancini will join the rest of their teammates at the Preseason Showcase in Kitchener this weekend.

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have signed 16-year-old forward Sloan Stanick, 17-year-old forward Josh Paulhus, 16-year-old defencemen Daylan Weigel and Parker Berge as well as 15-year-old defenceman Jacob Dewitt to Standard WHL Player Agreements, presented by Signpatico.

Stanick was acquired by the Pats from the Everett Silvertips in January of this year, the trade that sent Robbie Holmes to the Silvertips. Stanick was originally a seventh-round pick, 145th overall, in 2018.

Victoriavillois Maxime Pellerin got confirmation on Tuesday that he will be part of the 2019-2020 formation of the Tigers!

The first-round selection of the Felines in the last draft had a very good training camp, which allowed him to make his place with the team at the age of 16.

"Maxime has proven to us that he has all the tools to play in the QMJHL this season. He is a young man who is extremely mature despite his young age and who behaves very well both on and off the rink. We are confident he will be a top player in the next few years, "said Tigres General Manager Kevin Cloutier.

Pellerin will be in uniform for the first time on the preparatory calendar tonight, while the Shawinigan Cataractes will be visiting Victoriaville. Last year, the striker had 15 goals and 27 assists, for a total of 42 points in as many games with the Trois-Rivières Estacades in the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League.

The Cape Breton Eagles have announced that 2019 draft picks, defenseman Jérémy Langlois and centre David Doucet, have both signed with the club for the 2019-20 season.

Langlois and Doucet were the first two players chosen by the Eagles in the 2019 entry draft. Langlois was selected 17th overall, in the first round, from Cyclones de Québec of the Québec midget espoir team. Doucet was chosen 25th overall, in the second round, from the Under 16 team of Newbridge Academy prep school in Nova Scotia.

Both players participated in Canada’s national under-17 development camp this summer, an evaluation for the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge. Last season Langlois collected 29 points in 32 games with the Cyclones while Doucet produced nine points in nine games for Newbridge.
