GUELPH – Guelph Storm General Manager and Head Coach, George Burnett, has announced that the Storm have acquired overage defenceman Josh Wainman from the Hamilton Bulldogs in exchange for a 10th round pick (BAR) in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.
Wainman, a 6’00, 183-pound defenceman from Peterborough was a fourth round pick (72nd overall) by the Erie Otters in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. He was traded to Hamilton at the start of the 2018-19 season.
“Josh is a welcome addition to our team who adds depth and a veteran presence to our blueline,” said Burnett. “With 5 years of OHL experience and almost 200 games played, he is a proven veteran in our league who will help in the development of our younger players.”
