a (plotted) starter for @naryuuto!
soeun has gone a long way from her introverted days — she was much more sociable now — being in theater has affected her in so many ways, and constantly meeting people here and there has gotten her used to dealing with strangers, a trait she didn’t possess as a child. unlike her middle school years, she was now surrounded with people: whether they’re close friends or mere acquaintances. she was known to be one of the liveliest in their department now, a title she proudly carried wherever she went, so it wasn’t a secret that she was also close with their university’s soccer team’s coach, hence why she decided to tag along during one of their matches. a close friend of her mother, he was a man who supported them when they were still adjusting in a foreign country, a man who stood as soeun’s father through primary and middle school. he helped them a lot, so of course, she wouldn’t refuse a favor from him, no matter how small.
“soeun-ah, do you think you could go over there and give them these? have a little chat with them, too, if you like.”
there was a smirk tugging on the corner of his lips as he handed her the bottles of water, and she was quick to nod, mischief settling on both of her eyes. “alright.” only a few words were needed for her to understand that he wanted her to find out their techniques, how they play, and how their teamwork is. but of course, she has to be sneaky about it. using her ‘friendliness’ as an excuse, she confidently marched up to the opposing team, cradling the cold drinks in her arms. she then carefully handed each one to them, bowing her head as she politely greeted them and introduced herself. they don’t seem to be suspicious, good. in the corner of her eye, there was one figure who appeared to be lost in his own world, and it reminded soeun of how she was back then. so with the last bottle in hand, she quietly sat next to him before handing it over. “here.. it’s a small welcome gift, even if it’s only water. it’s the coldest we have, though.” she spoke with the widest grin she could manage, her head tilted so she was facing him. “i’m soeun, and.. your team doesn’t seem to be nervous, you guys must have prepared for this really well, mm? you all seem skilled.. i think it’ll be a fun game to watch.” mission start.
