It was their last day at the hotel, the last day of holidays break. On the next day the two boys would be heading to plataform 9 3/4 to go back to their usual routine at school. But until then, Daniel wanted to enjoy the comfort of the hotel’s bed and just relax before being in literal panic thanks to the upcoming exames.

After packing his bag, he threw his body on bed, sighing heavily. Turning around few times until finding a comfortable position on bed. He heard Jemery’s voice, claiming an out, or something like this, but it only made him pout.

“I don’t wanna go out. I wanna stay and rest. Can’t we?” He flashed his best friend his best puppy eyes, pouting cutely along. Then he suddenly flashed the other a childish smile, while patting the small empty spot next to him on bed. “Come, let’s be lazy together.”

He had already packed everything he would need at the short break he would have from school. He wouldn’t be far, but at a hotel in the heart of London with his mom, but still, he knew he would miss his friends that would stay in the castle or go somewhere else. 

After preparing everything, he marched his way to the place he settled to meet the girl, a gift box safely held with both his hands. Of course he didn’t know what to get her, so he just asked his mom for some advice, and hoped she would enjoy what he happily got her. 

“Ho, ho, ho!” He playfully peeks from behind her shoulder, smiling broadly. “Santa Soo is here!”

| Cat Hunters |

It was late at night. And he was doing something very dumb.

Not because he wasn’t sleepy, but because when he was about to dress himself to go to bed he finally missed Genevieve, his cat. After a day of studying, of course only at that time of the night he would notice he hasn’t seen the cat since the night before. And, even though it was almost time for all students to go to their common rooms, he couldn’t help but to worry about his most precious daughter and, in a very dumb impulse, get down in a silly hunt for the missing child.

It was freezing cold and the corridors were almost empty. The lack of students weren’t a worry for him, but his precious baby who was neglected and that might be suffering by that time thanks to his lack of attention. And of course the burning sadness and guilty inside him only made him eager to find the cat as soon as possible.

That until he saw a lonely figure at the corridor, probably heading to sleep already, but maybe it wouldn’t hurt if he were to ask them about the cat. “Hey, hey!” He shouts, even if he was too far from the figure, he was sure his voice would reach them thaks to the empty corridor. “Have you seen a cat!? A gray cat!” He runs closer, in hopes the person would turn around with a happy answer to give him.
