Can we talk about part 2 Cartman's ending

Spoilers ahead of course

Disclaimer! Its very possible that NO ONE hates Cartman more than I do, so I'm definitely not coming from a place of sympathy or pity or anything like that

I did think though. This ending, with Cartman homeless, out of his mind, yelling at random strangers on the street and calling them Kyle, seems unexpectedly out of character.

Yentl said that the Cartman she knew for 18 years was thoughtful, kind and gentle. Well the Cartman that WE'VE known for 24 years now is (putting all obvious negative traits aside) intelligent, ambitious, dedicated, cunning, and loyal where it matters (TO HIM. Where it matters TO HIM.)

I can't see somebody like Cartman, with traits as loud and aggressive and obvious as these, ending up in that position. If they wanted to give everyone a happy ending but Cartman, he could be in jail. It's as simple as that. Cartman is the most likely out of any of the (kid) characters to end up in jail, for any number of things. Even as a child his criminal record was extensive.

I dunno. I don't buy it. I think it was rushed and played for laughs, which seems somewhat counter intuitive? Considering what everyone went through in order to forgive each other and cut each other some slack?

What do you guys think?
