Today, I am Sad

Today, I am sad.

I am sad because the sky is grey and the birds are silent. I am sad because I spilt coffee on my new jeans. I am sad because today opportunity knocked, but it didn’t knock for me.

I am sad because I got caught in the rain with no coat. I am sad because I went out with a boy last night and he didn’t text me this morning. I’m sad because my friend went out with a boy last night and he did text her this morning.

I am sad because all of the songs on the radio sound wrong. I am sad because all I have read in the news is betrayal, deception, war and death. I am sad because today my head is so loud, but my voice has decided to be quiet.
