MacBook Pro’s new Touch Bar is powered by watchOS and iOS.
The great idea Touch Bar runs a modified version of watchOS, which itself is a modified version of iOS. It’s powered by Apple’s new T1 chipset, and it runs independently of the macOS Sierra T1 chip that is similar to the new S1 chip found in the latest Apple Watch.
Theoretically, the Touch Bar could be active while macOS and the MacBook Pro’s own CPU are off. THE USB handles the communication, so....Apple, we/I’d like to see it for the Mac Desktops and old MacBook Pros....
Apple, make an app that you can use the iPhone or iPad as the Touch Bar! for OS X apps!
