Catching up on a new episode of the anime version of My Happy Marriage, a work which I feel is ... kind of in my sweet spot of quality in the sense that I like it in a specific way that doesn't necessarily require it to be good, exactly, whatever that means. It intrigues and inspires me and I want to see where it goes.
Opening scene - I like the way Kiyoka is not having any of this bullshit - he's quite ready to fireball first - and I find this plausible because his Dad seems like a chronic bullshit artist and he may have developed some immunity to bullshit. Maybe I can expect this story to be stronger on that sort of characterisation logic than it is on worldbuilding or plot?
Karuoko is fun, but the kitchen thing is absolutely ridiculous and annoying. They're supposed to be a military organisation. I'll try to overlook it.
I was sorry we didn't see the rest of whatever happened to Godo and his squad. How did they get out of it? Maybe the author didn't write it, or maybe it's just not relevant enough to deserve the time.
Godo has a good heart and I see why he's Kiyoka's friend but he is an idiot. Zip it, man. Why are you telling Tatsuishi anything? Are you high?
I suspect Tatsuishi is up to no good; I wonder if he is (or thinks he is) the brains of the outfit and hoping to be Usui's vizier. Let's keep an eye on who else turns out to know what Godo is about to tell him.
None of these characters have any concept of opsec, do they?
What would you do with 100,000 yen?
