good omens S3 ending
I don’t get why people are saying that Aziraphell and Crowley didn’t get a happy ending. For me I feel like they got a beautiful ending, because for me the story obviously had short goals like the Antichrist or Gabriel or Jesus, but the long goals or more like a message in all those stories was that aziraphel and Crowley aren’t on anyone’s side. They say it constantly they are on there own side and I feel like that should tell us enough to understand that they where sort of trapped in heaven and hell. They didn’t fit in the archetypes that where set out for them and even when they broke those they where still trapped by the general foundation of their being, of their divine being and souls. Because no matter how much they would bend the rules they would always be trapped. So now they are humans, yes, mortal, but they are free because humans have no such thing as archetypes, humans have the power of free will, something said in the first book something even explained in all the general foundation of civilization that humans have free will. And that free will, that thing that we now know no holy or demonic being possesses, that free will is now for them to hold. They might not live forever, heck they might not even live another 30 years, but nonetheless they have the power to choose how to live those years, the power to do what they want and not what some archetype set out for them, they have the power to choose each other. And that right there is why I think the ending is so beautiful. Because they got out of that trap and they made there own side, they finally managed to be on their own side as mortal, human lovers.
just found out the kiss alts song is called Love Crime are you fucking kidding me
If you’re a byler, do yourself a favor and—
I just finished the Umbrella Academy season 3 and because I couldn't find a post about it I have to say it:
(huge spoilers!)
The end is so fucking unsatisfactory.
Loosing their powers? Seriously?!
That's such a bleak outcome. And leaving them in a world that's 'ruled' by their former father, who is now insanely rich and powerful.
I don't mind Allison getting her happy ever after.
And I don't even mind Solane being gone so much. But I mind Viktor loosing the thing that made him special, gave him confidence in himself. I mind Klaus loosing the power he has struggled with since he was a kid and that he finally learned to control. Diego is probably fine with it because of Lila and the baby and Luther is happy to have his body back. But there will be situations where they too, count on their powers and will be shocked to recall they are gone. Luther WILL get beaten up a lot. Diego WILL get into fights he can't win. Hell, Klaus might be dead in a week, simply because he has no idea what a mortal body is able to withstand.
The hardest it probably hit five. His power was the one thing he defined himself by. He is the one who can blink and jump through time and space and saves the world. That's him, he didn't even give himself a name apart from the number he was assigned as a kid. Without his powers and his siblings he is an old man in the body of a 15yo destined to live a completely normal life and grow old.
tl;dr
This ending feels like it is supposed to be a happy ever after, but to me it seems so sad to destine these former superheroes to live completely ordinary lifes in a boring, capitalist society without magic powers in their lives and I damn well hope there will be a season 4 to fix this.
Sorry for the rant, this plot twist really got me.
👀👀👀❤
S3 finale. It's almost Castiel time!
