right? rewatching has destroyed this show for me forever. it can never be what it was. i don’t know if i’m happy that i’ve grown or sad that it can’t be cherished in my head (and past) for forever.
that's pretty much how i feel. i never remembered the show like that at all, but then again, using words like 'retard' or 'retarded' and 'midget' was more socially acceptable back then. i'm sure it was never an issue when the show came out but it definitely makes me view the characters differently now. some of the things that are meant to be funny are now actually really insensitive and that's a bummer.
