Sabahi speaks with Egypt's president-elect Sisi
The Presidential Election Commission officially announced the final results of the infamous presidential election on Tuesday, although the results were known early Thursday of last week after the polls closed.
The announcement that Hamdeen Sabahy lost to former military chief Abdel Fattah Sisi was not a surprise.
The candidate held a press conference Thursday where he did not congratulate the winner. However, reports are saying that the candidate did call the president-elect on Tuesday following the formal announcement of the results to congratulate Sisi. Sabahy also wished him luck, and prayed to God to aid Sisi in doing what is good for Egypt and its people.
