Sabbaday Falls is a must see stop along the #KancamagusHighway in New Hampshire’s #WhiteMountains. A mostly easy 0.3 mile path will take you into the falls from the (probably very busy) parking area. . At the end of the path are three sections of stairs that climb about 30 feet to the viewing area at the top. . It’s about a 15 minute walk, but you’ll want to stay much longer. The best views are about midway up the stairs where you’ll get a clear look at the two drops that make up the falls. . First is a 5 foot plunge into a “punchbowl” basin that’s been carved into the rock over thousands of years. After pooling in the basin for a moment, there’s a more dramatic 22 foot fall into a steep rocky gorge below. The crystal clear water then flows into a peaceful emerald pool before Sabbaday Brook continues to wind its way through the forest. . Located just about midway between Lincoln and Conway- #SabbadayFalls is one of the most popular stops on the #Kancamagus and parking can be a challenge during peak #leafpeeping season. The small lot at the trailhead quickly overflows to parking alongside the highway. Be mindful of parking signage and traffic if so. #roadtrip #traveltips #travelblogger #newenglandtravel #newenglandwaterfallls #kancamagusroadtrip (at Sabbaday Waterfalls) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjNtBYUO42V/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
