Long post ahead ⚠️ Since its graduation season of UP, i would like to share a convo between me and my mom a few years back. My mom is a UP graduate. She took her master's degree in UP. She dont brag it to everyone but she'll do some "humble brag" to me. She even brought her Sablay here in Cambodia. During this time few years back, I was scrolling through my social media accounts and saw a lot of UP graduates. She caught me staring at it then told me "Gustu ka magpapicture sa akong Sablay?" With a wide grin on her face. I rolled my eyes then answered "Ayaw kabalaka my, mag-UP sad ko, then i'll have my own Sablay." She smiled after hearing it. But then she left the world. And her Sablay is with me right now. I haven't tried fitting her Sablay. Technically its mine now because Im the one who's keeping it. I once thought of following her foot steps but I realized Im not as smart as her and I dont have any motivation to take Masters since she's not here anymore. As long as I have her Sablay, Im already feeling like a UP graduate. I'll still continue some of our dreams mommy but not the UP dream hehe. Congrats to all UP graduates 2019! #sablay2019 Ps. She had this photoshoot months before she was diagnosed. I think she already know her time is up, so she need that good shot with her Sablay.
