Out of the room, the Captain of the Guards walked briskly at the narrow halls of the Upland mansion.
It was a classy place, really. The house was simple yet very regal. He thought it well suited Glinda for if her house was as fancy as she is dressed, it would be a waste of money for her articles wouldn’t be noticed.
There were family portraits and pictures of different relatives, all did resemble the blonde in some small aspect like the colour of their eyes, the soft-curled locks and skin. They had owned a farm, but clearly their family didn’t work under the sun for their skin was as pale as snow, yet as rosy as a blossom. They were a wonderful family, at least aesthetically.
Though, he didn’t really think of Glinda. It was more like a cover up, a run to since he’s in terrible pain right now. He couldn’t fess up what he exactly felt about Elphaba and all he could muster was a ‘we miss you’ comment that really put him in a spot, the spot of trying hard to woo her.
He really hoped he didn’t look like a fool. If Elphaba knew, which he was certain she could have sensed it, he wished this didn’t turn her away from him. He had the brightest intentions and he never really wanted to harm anyone; it just so happens that he needed this job so he could have the means to find her. And well, he did eventually find her on his own accord; not by his own doing though. If it wasn’t for Glinda, he would have never seen Elphaba ever. He was grateful for it.
Reflecting on it more, he kind of agrees with himself that fessing up to Elphaba won’t change anything. In fact, it’ll probably just make her run away in distrust. That’s the last thing he wants to happen. Elphaba had all the right to mistrust him, but he didn’t intend for that to happen for it was not within him to traitor her or anything close to that. If Elphaba decides to hide again and forget him, he’d settle with that since he respected her. And well, at least Elphaba had hints on to what he felt about her.
As he walked the halls, his pace started to get slower. He noticed the Leopard was also walking these corridors just a few feet away from him. Was it a good time to talk to her or would she decided to eat him? He didn’t know, really. There’s just this urge to call out to the Leopard and probably formally introduce himself to her. She is Elphaba’s protector, so why can’t they chat for a while?
“H-hey!” he called out to the Feline as he trotted to her.
He wasn’t sure if this was the right thing, but he wasn’t nervous. Or probably that was because he was too much in pain to actually feel something else than pain. He wasn’t sure.
Fiyero's Thoughts #1
"It is to note that I am very confused of this situation I have entered myself in.
"Look: We're in Glinda's room, Elphaba is on the bed sick and what is more mystifying about this is that I find myself in yet another cat situation involving Elphaba.
"This reminds me of that day in Dr. Nikdik's class, if I remember his name correctly. Trivial matters like that aren't so important, but I still wonder why she had magicked everyone else except for me.
"I have never forgotten that day and I will always remember it. Though, even if she hadn't spelled me, she has indeed enchanted my heart."
The Captain has been in Gillikin country for quite some time now. Though the country was lush and vibrant as in Vinkus, the evident advancement of agriculture and hubbub of the townsfolk here clearly differentiates the two. Fiyero couldn’t decide which one he loved more, but he definitely liked this place more than Emerald City. Don’t get it wrong, he loved being crowded and given attention by a sea of people; Emerald City has just been too crowded recently.
It is oddly windy today; the sun is up though, and the sky is as blue as his diamonds forever etched onto his skin. Looking up at the sky, he knew there won’t be any rain today.
He suddenly notices a small dot appear from the south west. It was a small dot, but it went fast. He knew it was Glinda. Of course it was, no one else travelled by bubble. He signalled the two guards trailing behind him to continue the rounds they were currently in and ran off, headed to where the bubble was going at.
[ --- ]
Arriving at the foot of the Gillikin mansion where Glinda lives, he marvelled at the architecture that stood before him. It was a classic Gillikin building though still stood brilliant even with its age. The gates were locked, but of course those years in Vinkus - and well, let’s admit - Shiz, have taught him to climb up walls and break in; which he did quite effortlessly.
He walks to the door, turns the knob; it was locked.
Letting go of a sigh, the Vinkus prince anticipated this and canvassed the area for another opening. Though, what caught his eye was a tail of orange, white and black that flicked and disappears through a wall. His heart started to race as he realized that he and Glinda were not alone. He immediately ran to follow the beast and saw an opening at the back.
[ --- ]
Stalking a beast inside a mansion has never been one of those moments Fiyero had anticipated in his life. Sure he has killed numerous animals when he still lived in the Thousand Year Grasslands, but that place didn’t have narrow halls. If he were to get in a fight with this beast here, one wrong move and he could be dead. He held his gun with this thought and continued to silently stalk his prey.
After a while of turning around hallways and climbing stairs, finally he sees the beast - which he had made out to be a leopard - enter a room. The door closes and he moves in to the door. He pinned himself to the wall, held his rifle and thought to himself; Fiyero, this is it. You cannot let a mangy animal let loose in Glinda’s house.
He took in a deep breath, clutched his rifle harder and then turned to face the door. Within seconds he pushed the door open and barged in the room, ready to fire at the first aggression showed to him.
But much to his surprise he saw Glinda, the angry leopard and… Elphaba Thropp.
His face turned pale at the sight of that green girl. He hadn’t seen her for a long time and he had even searched for her. Arms weakening, he slowly put his rifle down, still had no idea how to react or what to think of the situation he was in. He was in utter shock.
sabor-the-leopard replied to your post: Ahhh, another feline within the jungle. You live within the same land as Khan, am I right?
Sabor. I could not help but remember Khan mentioning you once. We may live in different lands, but we might be similar. And you are… Bagheera, correct?
Yes, that's correct.

Tha first thang comin' into my mind ...? Ya wanna hear that?An incredibly complicated leopardess, it's hard to find tha proper way ta act 'round her.
sabor-the-leopard replied to your post: Well, I suppose there are a lot of people to meet
-she sighs- I am faced with more royalty. How /lovely/.
Oh, you don't like royalty? I suppose it does have it's downsides. There was this once when I decided to try and run away, what didn't really work but... And you remind me of a friend you know? You're a little different but still.
