Is It Too Late? || Finley & Roderick.
Finley slowly closed her laptop, and placed it on the coffee table in front of her. She took a deep breath in and tried to keep calm, though in her mind, she was just about freaking out. Roderick had popped up, and she was back from running away to New York, and they had started to talk again. And now she was about to go to his house, and she was so scared, because she was so certain that he wouldn't, he couldn't take her back. But she'd take her chance. And whatever happens, well, she would let it happen, with her head high, and her dignity in place.
She walked over to her closet, choosing a simple white shift dress, with a long black cardigan, black tights, and black boots. She wanted to look comfortable, not too dressed up, but... good, too. Confident. She wanted to look confident. She grabbed her phone, her wallet, and her purse, and found the little velvet jewelry box sitting on the counter. She placed that in her bag, and set it on her vanity. Her newly chopped hair needed a brush, but after she combed through it, she felt complete. Quickly petting Darcy and Luna, she shut off the lights, and shut and locked the door.
She soon made it down to her car, and hopped in, immediately playing Christmas music, trying to fill her with some source of cheer. There was a spot of traffic, as per usual, but soon she reached Roderick's new home. She walked to the front door, and knocked, patiently.
