@dr-theodore-anderson :
What were you doing outside for so long?
I was catering a fancy outdoor party. Which was fun, but severely lacking in shade.
‣SABR AUV: CITW: DEATH NOTICE ↴
Octavian’s drowned corpse was found by Dylan and Theodore after they heard some commotion outside their cabin, looked out their windows, and saw a body floating in the water, bobbing against the dock. They pulled their cabin mate out of the water and onto the dock of their boat house cabin. After a failed attempt at CPR Theodore said he would run inside and call the main office for help. Alone on the dock with Theodore, Dylan saw the same figures moving through the woods, stopping just at the wood’s edge... watching him. Meanwhile, Theodore was instantly faced with the ghostly soaking wet figure of Lola, a silent scream contorting her face. No one would have believed him if Dylan hadn’t come in the door and seen her too. The last thing Dylan saw in the cabin was the Lola-like creature smothering Theo. Bolting, he wouldn’t notice Octavian’s body was gone. Unfortunately for Dylan, there was only one way to go, toward the woods. As he ran he would meet his death by impaling himself on a hefty branch of a fallen tree. When searching for the bodies of the missing lodgers of Mason cabin, the authorities would never find their bodies and the pools of water had long since dried. Even Dylan’s body in the woods had vanished, the blood covered tree passed over in the thicket of the forest.

‣ MASON CABIN ↴
This cabin will be the vacation destination for Octavian, Dylan, Theodore, and Easton. This space was once only a boathouse, now expanded and refurbished to be one of the nicest cabins on the island. Mason Cabin has six bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a mudroom with ‘rinse off’ shower for your post-lake swimming needs. Being on the water, it includes many activities, such as jet skiing, swimming, kayacking, and fishing. Its view of the shore can be misleading, as no part of the island is within swimming distance and the area within view is private property. This cabin is close to the many of the activities available on the island and, therefore, guests of Masin Cabin are provided with all-terrain bicycles for transportation, if they wish to join in on the itineraries’ activities.

It’s never too soon. They don’t call it Christmas in July for nothing.
“Christmas in July” is corny and cheap. I mean the religious holiday Christmas.

You certainly should visit the Fortaleza de Kuelap. Wonderful ruins.
I will make sure to take the time to see them.
Scrabble & Pie | Adore Headcanon | 5 May 2015 | dr-theodore-anderson
Theodore was important to her -- she knew this for quite some time and yet every time she tends to burn bridges between and make things worst. Still, Adra always has a stubborn streak whenever she wants things in a certain way. It was as much as a flaw as it was a strength. Making sure the apple pie was gluten free and backed to perfection, she caught a cab with her Scrabble kit in the bag together with the pie balanced in hand and some salad from Davenport’s. And she made sure they even cut the oranges just the way he liked it. She has no idea what to expect tonight, Adra was smart enough to know that their dynamics could never go back to what they were before. She shot Gio a text to tell him where she was at and briefly explaining the situation if she doesn’t answer any of his calls or texts on the way there. Adra watched the streetlights pass by and as the vehicle neared his apartment building, the brunette switched off her phone. Theodore was important to her and tonight was mending the bridge any way she can.
Ringing the bell before knocking the door three times, the small brunette waited for him to answer the door, a small smile etching on her features when she heard some bumps along the way -- so typical of Theo. The door opened and she held up the pie, smiling sincerely at him. The first few minutes were awkward as the lanky man let her enter his home. She hasn’t stepped foot into the apartment for more than 3 months now but she remembered every single detail of it. And the visit was made even sweeter when Tiggie padded into the living room. She was no longer a kitten, growing bigger. At first it pained Adra how wary her cat was before it stalked closer and eventually nuzzling her bare calf.
The entire time she was there, Tiggie kept close to her, sitting in her lap while she waited for Theodore to brew the Silver Moon tea. They chatted idly, mostly about the news on the huge telescope to be built on Mauna Kea, the discovery and updates about exo-planets, the Scrabble championship -- anything and everything else except about their personal lives. Well, she did try to ask how he was coping and that subject wasn’t pondered upon long till awkward silence settled between them. So Adra did her best, telling him about an exaggerated story of how she couldn’t reach for the gluten free flour in the supermarket shelf, teased him about being sloppy with his Scrabble practice and demanded for a match whilst waiting for him to cut a slice of pie for themselves.
As always, the Scrabble match was almost interrupted by the cats trying to paw at the tiles. Adra figured there was no harm in letting him score a little bit more than her although she did put up a good challenge. The third round ended up being in ancient Latin and Greek. A close shave again and she pretended to pout and acted like a sore loser, playfully throwing a cushion at Theo. It was as if the past few months had never happened and Adra felt lighter than she ever was.
The clock struck eleven and even though prior to this, she would have stayed on and watch a documentary with him till the wee hours of morning, Adra told him she had to leave. She did miss hanging out with him, discussing facts about the documentary they had chosen, picking over slightly salted popcorn from a bucket. Still, she thought this was for the best as she packed up her things with Tiggie still purring up her leg. Planting a huge kiss on the cat’s nose and a hug, she reluctantly let her go.
Turning to Theodore, she hesitated at first but decided to wrap her small arms around his torso anyhow. “You’re so skinny,” she mumbled in his chest before turning her gaze up at him. Then she stood on the tip of toes and gave him a chaste kiss on his cheek. “Thank you.” A moment of silence engulfed them as she pulled away and Adra poked his ribs before turning to see the cab she called pulled up at the driveway. “I’ll see you around.”
