What legal reasons are there for Bryke not to accept fan fiction...?
It’s not that Bryke can’t accept fanfiction, it’s that they can’t read fanfiction. It could be liability in the future because of the potential for accidentally stealing ideas from a fanfiction. For that reason our project cannot accept fanfiction submissions, as we hope for Bryke to be able to actually look at each entry.
As for Bryke’s stance on fanfiction itself, who knows.
