Ah my angst ridden hockey/Olympic au <3 I'm on break at work but here are some angsty/sad headcanons
After the break-up, there was a period of time where Lando was in contact with his dad who would call just to tell him he was a disappointment and embarrassment
Lando can't remember the last days at the Olympics because he entered a depressive state
When Lance told his family, his sister and mother didn’t speak to him for a while because of what he did
Lance tried for weeks to see Lando, Lando’s mother and sister refused to let him near Lando
Every time Lance scores, or wins a game, he still turns to the stands to search for Lando even after all these years
When Lando’s physio got too much, he dialled Lance’s number from his new phone and hung up when Lance said hello
Neither of them have dated since the break up
Lance, even after therapy, never forgives himself for what he did
Lando once burned his hands pulling pictures back out of a fire when he was mad and wanted to destroy all his memories with Lance
Lando avoids places that meant things to them (first date spot, their fave restaurant) but Lance goes to them to try cling to their connection
Lance had a panic attack when he heard about Lando's accident because its scares him to think of Lando hurt
Lance cried when Jon kicked him out of Lando's hospital room and wouldn't let him back in
A fan posts a picture of Lando looking distressed and tired with the bear sticking out of his bag and Lance holds out hope
Only for it to be crushed whenever he tries to reach out
Lance has been injured on ice by Max a fair few times because the Dutch Hockey player hates him for hurting his lil ice skater friend
