The previous owner built this rack and while cool it needed improving on. First we cut and moved the legs to the outside, moved the whole assembly forward towards the cab, and then cut the rear legs down to fit over the wheel wells. Not only did this give me way more usable bed space but also increased stability since it's no longer behind the axle.

When I bought my hardbody it came with severely mangled front and back bumpers. I was able to replace the front with a Pathfinder bumper pretty quickly, but I've been searching for a rear bumper for months now. Pull-A-Part finally got another hardbody on the lot and lucky me it had a decent rear bumper. Scrubbed it will steel wool till my arm bout fell off but she cleaned up real nice.
