First one was just incomparable to other mainstream horror films imo, and that remake could not hold a candle to it. Scared the living daylight outta me as a kid! Now I have this appreciation, but I think 1 thru 6 are worth watching <3
true true the remake was defs a hit and miss (but imo they developed the backstory much better and that part where Nancy's in the convenience store aisle and it like flickers between dream and reality? that was cool)
and yeee 6 was really good and I loooooved the part where you realize she's his daughter omg oMG
(give me more of her. give me a prequel movie before Freddy died. give me Freddy being a dad give me Freddy cleaning blood off his hands and then going to kiss his wife as she makes dinner give me all of the creepy messed up Springwood Slasher days I neED THIS.)
edit: fallbymyblades is an amAAAAAAAAAZingggg freddy and u should all go follow them

Truth serum: What does it feel like to be an absolute tool?
MUSE IS UNDER TRUTH SERUM FOR ONE HOUR. ASK ME ANYTHING. NOTHING IS OFF LIMITS AND EVERYTHING MUST BE ANSWERED.
"You'd know."
What're you ღ giving me that ღ look for? ღ
Imagine a world where everything is black & white until you meet your soulmate's eyes. Send me "ღ" to my muse's reaction to their world suddenly becoming colorful after meeting your muse's eyes.
What is— what is that? What’s wrong with her eyes? She’s never— how is that—? Is this a side-effect of Joker toxin? Has he managed to poison her coffee? No, that’s impossible, Dr. Arkham specifically made sure that no one knew she was going to be treating the Joker, especially the killer himself.
So what is this? Why is she suddenly seeing his hair the like the grass outside her office window like the highlighter on her desk? Why is she seeing his lips like the leather-bound books on the shelf behind him like as the picture of the apple on her desk? Why?
— And then the knowledge that these are colors fills her mind, the same way the colors themselves fill her vision. Colors. These are colors. These are the things you see when you meet your soulmate. These are the things that she never understood until now, that his hair is green and his lips are red and his jumpsuit is orange and the guards’ uniforms are blue and oh my god oh my GOD that’s the JOKER it can’t be HIM—
But then she looks at him again, beautiful, colorful him, and she sees the hundreds of shades of yellow and pink she’d never even knew existed taking form in the creases of his skin, and something that is unmistakably purple ghosting along his veins, and she realizes it could never have been anyone but him.
The guards leave. She doesn’t care about them, though— they’re boring colors. dull colors, as though the Joker’s radiance drowns them out. She smiles and is acutely aware that her lipstick is red and her eyes are blue and her skin is a strange no-man’s-land between peach and beige.
"Hello," she says. "I’m Doctor Harleen Quinzel."
"Harleen," he repeats, smiling in a way that makes her shiver for an entirely new reason now, his eyes roaming over her features. "I like your sweater."
"Oh?"
"Yes." His smile widens and he leans closer to her over the desk. "Red suits you.”
