the gears turn as shiro tries to place what about the man seems familiar — maybe it's the long, slick hair framing the hooded figure’s face? or maybe it’s the disconcerting cadence he speaks with, sickly sweet and tinged with something that feels a little... hm. what’s the word? charged? weirdly disdainful in that backhanded sort of way?

well, there’s only so much he can piece together when the person before him stands fully masked.

[ GOSSIP ] - For those who don't want to be the center of attention, sitting on the sidelines and observing those who do is a time-honored tradition. Exchanging thoughts with another while doing so is a rite of passage for a student—it is a slightly worse look for the staff to take part.

She can feel dread crawling up her spine.

She doesn't know, and the only reason she makes the effort to calm her heart is the knowledge that her panic will do no good; she won't find the source of her anxiety within the endless crowd.

[ CHOCOLATE ] - Stefanelli's has partnered with the monastery to make the most of the supplies left in excess of their workshops earlier in the year by offering packages of sweet chocolates for attendees. The offerings appear generous... that is, until you open your box to find it only half full.

Stefanelli’s seminar was definitely a blast for Sakura, who managed to learn a lot about chocolate and how to make it in various forms and savours: the incredible partnership that made with the monastery even for the ball was somewhat unexpected for Sakura, who, somehow, managed to put her hands on one of the most luxurious package of its supplies.

On the verge of opening it, she couldn’t help but being super excited for having to eat something so expensive yet so delicious… if it only was fully filled; too much of her disregard, the petite priestess opened the box to find it half full, the other half completely gone. How was it even possible?!

As she rose her gaze from the box, goldenish eyes met with the one of a person she wished she wouldn’t met once again, especially in an occasion like this. Iago..? she thought to herself, his name echoed in her mind, but the more she stared at him, the more she realized that… he had the other box.

[ GRANNVALE ] - An old waltz from before the rise of Emperor Arvis. It was popular during its time in the 750s but has now become a relic of the past, one that may not be as appreciated by the newer generation.

"Do you know this song? It is quite popular in my homeland. Well, at least it was when I was last there." She is quite happy to take Iago's hand and let him lead her onto the dance floor. And she cannot help but wonder if this same waltz is still played in ballrooms across Jugdral. She supposed she could ask her son but there is part of her that worries the answer might make her feel even more separated from the land she once called home.

"I am afraid you will have to lead us. I have never danced that role myself. But I will do my very best to guide you!"

Before the dance begins, she offers a tulip from her bouquet. "And this is for you, as thanks for offering to be my partner!"
