    “Wh--” Peter’s voice trails off as the world spins above him, blinking a few times as his head lolls to the side. Everything is blurring together, head pounding with each second that passes, and his ears are still ringing. Her voice is muffled at first, and he doesn’t even RECOGNIZE it’s Betty until a few moments later when his vision starts to clear. That’s when he realizes she’s above him-- he’s laying on the ground. He tries to search his memory for what happened, but he falls SHORT. School...they were in school...and then there was an explosion. Shit. He thinks he knows why. Messy with his identity lately, his latest villain managed to discover it-- what better way to strike than when Spider-Man is at school?

   “Betty?” He chokes out, before repeated COUGHS wrack his body. “Wh-- what happened? Are you okay?-- is-- is everyone else alri-” Voice trails off, and Peter groans to himself, screwing his eyes shut. “Holy shit, I’m tired-”
