ear stretching guide?????? i really wanna start stretching but i don't know how except buying tapers from hot topic but apparently thats bad? i'm 13 please don't yell at me for being stupid like 30 other people already have but the way you answered the gender queer question made me think maybe you wouldn't. i just really want to stretch my ears but i want to do it the right way. please help.
My little minion, be calm, you are safe now.
I will create a whole page on my blog for you about everything you need to know about safe stretching.
But, for now, just make sure you have a completely healed ear lobe piercing that is clean and infection free.
If you do not, then please please please don't go buy one of the ear piercing guns. Always get any piercings done by professionals who have the right knowledge and equipment.
Further explanation of the no ear piercing gun thing and ear piercing safety. Skip if you already have pierced lobes.
When you pierce your lobes with one of the guns you're basically putting your ears through blunt force trauma. The point on the end of the earring used to pierce is in no way sharp enough to pierce your ears with a clean go through. The damage done may be microscopic, but it makes getting a blowout much more likely. Although, you might not have any problems and I do know that that is the way most people get their ears pierced, I wish I could say that is that mine were pierced with a gun, but they were not. Which brings me to the part of don't pierce yourself or let your friends pierce you who have no idea what they're doing nor do they have the right equipment. My lobes were pierced for the first time using very large safety pins when I was 12 years old. They were not sterilized, they were not very sharp, and I was sitting in the middle of social studies when I did it. I do not condone nor promote this kind of shit. Looking back it was immensely stupid and i wouldn't do it again ever. Self piercing is only okay if you have the right knowledge and equipment. That does not mean watching a YouTube tutorial. Also, if your parents don't let you do it, don't be a fucking idiot and do it yourself. Fucking wait a few years, it won't kill you.
If you already have pierced ears, that are healed, you're going to need a few things: stainless steel tapers (preferably a 16g if not 14g will do, you want to start out as small as you can) and plugs to match (never leave tapers in, straight into plugs), lubricant (coconut oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, etc. NEVER USE VASELINE OR CHAPSTICK. YEAH. I'VE SEEN PEOPLE DO IT), sea salt (soak the lobes in warm water and sea salt, it's less harsh than rubbing alcohol and won't dry them out). Ye.
Get those items and remember, stretching your ears doesn't hurt. It feels a bit uncomfortable, but if you feel actual pain you need to stop because you're doing something wrong.
Wait at least a month before sizing up again and never skip any sizes, and I should have the page up before then for additional help.
Any other questions, just ask <3
P.S. I was 13 when I started stretching too and it's okay to not know how to go about it, that's why you have me, who has done literally everything wrong that you can while stretching your ears so you can learn from my mistakes.
