A Suzanne Says...Good Day
Some of my favorite people were around today...good times!
Had our Mexican holiday tradition of Rosca de Reyes potluck.
Trained the new Page.
Safety training day.
My Mom stopped by to say hi to everyone.
Cheering on USA Olympic Team!
A Suzanne Says...Fun First Day of 2018
Had a safety talk about back injury prevention. We only have one back, treat it well.
We celebrated the Mexican holiday tradition of Rosca de Reyes and ate our chocolate baby cake (which I had to go to the bakery twice in order to get). Next month we will continue the tradition and those who found babies will provide food for a potluck party.
Security guard Will had the best burrito ever for lunch (thank Rubio’s Coastal Grill).
Found this nice litter message.
P.S. Annalis’s new year’s resolution should be blogging more. haha
A Suzanne Says...Work and Visiting
Safety class in the morning. Busy day of rearranging (what we in the biz call shifting) the young adult (YA) collection to make more room. Visits with Dee, Amber and Candy; plus, my Mom and Annalis stopped by. AND Amber was nice to me! She helped me find more bobble head books - weird. :)
A Suzanne Says...What a Day!
Saturday was crazy.
I woke up with a headache - never a good thing.
It was safety training day. We had a good lesson about safe driving, so now I am afraid to drive.
At opening, the automatic doors decided not work, so I had to yell through the glass for those standing there to go around to our other entrance. One guy said I had to be kidding since his laptop bag was “F*#!ing” heavy. Nice!
We had an ongoing Oprah vs. Ellen debate. Ellen won.
I found an empty Diet Coke can in the stacks. Trash cans are available throughout the library, people!
Martha and Victoria stopped by to say Hi!
Everyone should eat at least one almond a day.
Did you know there’s an art installment storefront in Los Angeles that has VHS tapes of the movie Jerry Maguire? Like an old school video store where you cannot check anything out. WOW! “You had me at ‘Hello!’”
A Suzanne Says...Back to Work
First shift of 2016 yesterday. It was a short one, but fine. Had some safety training, shelved books and a former employee stopped by to say hi.
P.S. Didn’t get as far as I wanted on my bobble head reading over Christmas break. But 12 books is better than none at all.
A Suzanne Says...We’re Still Here
We are still around and working, just nothing exciting happening to blog about - until yesterday!
Annalis, Victoria and I were all working together like old times! One Minute to Party is back!
There was safety training yesterday. Be careful driving in rain and fog.
We got new display cases to show off our NEW books and special topics, very nice.
See 11/11/2015 post of a checkout mistake Annalis made.
And happiness is...
P.S. Thanks to all our Veterans!
