the more sage tried to stay away from him, the more she would think about the first time their hands touched, the first time he pulled a strand of her hair back, or even literally any move of his towards her. it was getting harder for her to stay away from him, even though she was sensing that was what he was trying to do. "knock knock." she vocalizes, head tilting a bit as she leans in the doorway. "can i come in?"

She chuckles, fully aware that she's once again spending more time than she should in a candle shop. "What do you think? I'm practically a regular now. she had to leave. it didn't matter how much she felt for him... it just wasn't right. what they were doing to kara? sage would never forgive herself if her friend discovered. so that was why she went out, and this time, not with her best friend: sage had to get her mind off of him.

after waking up to the sound of water falling from the bathroom where manu was taking a shower, sage’s eager to get up, all smiley, grabbing one of his oversized shirts and putting it on. it smells like him. as she waits for him to get out, she takes a look around the room. it seems always impossible how things seem to be working out… just… perfect? with a buzz from his phone, sage can’t help but take a look at it. when can i see you again?, the text says. her whole body freezes, and sage has to sit down to process what she’s just read. was she just another one of his secrets? "manu..." she begins, closing her eyes. "who's isobel?"

ever since sage got the news, she kept on softly avoiding manu. not the way she once did though, but enough so he wouldn’t penetrate on her deepest feelings. sage knew it was important for him to go to college so she would never stay in between him and his dreams… but it hurted. now that they seemed to be getting along so well… “hi… can i come in?” she asks, leaning on his doorstep while looking down. “she went to the market. i don’t know if she’s going to be there for a long time but… i needed to talk to you.”
