okay so hear me out. we know:
zolf became a cleric of hope more or less because of sasha
because of time travel shenanigans, sasha was technically dead during the 18 months zolf was off becoming a cleric of hope
clerics get their power from some sort of divine source
zolfs divine source is hope
zolfs hope is from sasha
sasha played a decent role in society post-fall of rome, in which she helped many people who didnt have anyone to turn to, and thus presumably gave a lot of other people hope
it is at least theoretically possible to become a god in this universe, especially if enough people believe in you
still with me? good, because now we get into theory
what if zolf isnt just getting his power from hope? what if there is a god of hope he is getting his powers from? what if there is an actual divine entity, a manifestation of hope in the form of a being, who gives him that power? what if, many, many years ago, someone appeared out of seemingly no where, wearing clothes and possessing objects years ahead of the time, and helped the helpless and the lost and the downtrodden? what if she created an organization that lasted longer than her name, an organization built on independence and hope in one another?
basically, what im getting at is:
