HELLO, FELLOW SHIPPERS!! It is time to announce this year’s prompts for #akusaimonth.

This year, we’re returning to our two original modes of challenges: SLOW BURN (posting across 7 specified dates) and BERSERK (posting everyday for 31 days). Details for these challenges may be seen in the cut below.

As always, you may choose whatever medium that fits your fancy–fics, art, graphics, playlists, video edits, cosplay, whichever. Make sure to post materials made by you yourself! NO USING OTHER’S WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION. For writers, an AO3 collection will be available for you to upload your works. (EDIT: The AO3 Collection is here.)

If you have any more questions or clarifications, or if you think you need more inspiration with a certain prompt, please don’t be afraid to send an ask!

What does mystical mean? [x] Personally, when I think of ‘mystical’ I think of deities, myths, and mysteries, also ancient civilizations and their devotion to otherworldly beings. I also think of mystical creatures, like fairies, mermaids and unicorns.

Soooo you could go for an au with akusai as sun and moon deities, or maybe akusai as vampires/mermaids/[insert fantastic creature]. It could also be a Harry Potter au (YAY MAGIC), or set them in a Final Fantasy game, with all those eidolons/aeons/summons, whichever is your thing. Hmmm I suppose I suggested a lot of types of ‘mystical’. It doesn’t have to “exactly” mean anything. It can be whatever you want it to be! \0/

I’d also like to announce that finally we have an akusai month Hall of Fame! All the participants I managed to track are listed here, though some--especially those near the beginning--are already dead blogs. I still think it’s nice to commemorate all the fans that have helped keep this fandom alive. :D

HELLO. I'm back from the dead.

Last year, I said it was going to be my last year running the akusai month event. But.... I’ve changed my mind. I will continue running it! \0/

Why? Because KINGDOM HEARTS III. (Real talk. Who in their right akusai mind back then would have thought KH3 would bless us with so much glorious content!??! DEFINITELY NOT ME HAHAHAHAHA bec I thought Saix would die permanently by protecting Roxas and Xion)

Anyways, I know shippers have been partying on. I've been watching from the sidelines (Twitter). I'm not sure if my prompts will be up to times with the newer groups of the fanbase, but I'll do my best to have a lovely akusai month for both new and old to enjoy!

I will be posting more details, such as prompts soon. As always, the beautiful @heartlessfujoshi will help me moderate things. Spoiler alert: BERSERK and SLOW BURN are coming back. ;)

AKUSAIMONTH Day 1: “Just go on one date with me.”

Rating: G Word count: 658 Bakery AU. still untitled, but i’m planning to make it so that all my entries are under this au. :D

“Just go on one date with me. Please!” says the young customer from across the counter.

Isa, with his long hair pulled into a bun near the crown of his head, smiles at the customer he’s entertaining, gives her her change and bag of sweets. He continues to ignore the young one with fiery red hair, the one standing to the side of the customer now leaving.

His part-timer manages to keep her lips curved into a smile while assisting another customer in line. She collects the kinds of pastries they want to purchase, but from where Ias stands can very well tell by the veins at her temple that she must be reaching her temper with regards to her classmate.

Isa gets through two more customers, including the one his part-timer Kairi was helping. No one else left to fill their time, the young fiery one steps up to the counter.

The baker gives him his most basic, customer-friendly smile. “How may I help you, young lad?”

“Please!” The young customer hands him a tray containing their custard bread, the cheapest in the store. “I’ll take this.”

Isa nods, keying in the purchase. “Understood.”

The young one jogs in place, trying to keep his excitement to himself but failing. “And you, out on one date.”

Isa sighs as Kairi groans and exclaims, “Lea! I warned you to never ask my boss that question again.”

“Please! Give me a chance, Mr. Isa.” Lea pleads, eyebrows in a knot, lips pouting, his fist clenched as he hands over the few coins he pays for his bread. “I--I fell in love with you at first sight!”

“No need to listen to this idiot, sir.” Kairi takes the young lad by the wrist and drags him to the front door. The boy tries to plant himself where he stood, but his friend is stronger. “He doesn’t ever think about what in the world he’s talking about.”

Isa breathes deeply through his nose, brushing loose strands of blue hair from his temple to his ear. He crosses his arms, calling for his part-timer’s attention before she successfully pushes her classmate out of the store. “Kairi.” When she looks over, he signals her to take the young lad back in.

Lea, sparkles in his eyes, rushes to the counter. (From the corner of Isa’s eye, he can see the bewilderment in Kairi’s face.) “Are you considering my offer, Mr. Isa?”

“You forgot to bring with you your purchase.” Isa says with a smile, handing the small paper bag sealed with their bakery’s blue moon sticker.

“O--Oh…” Dejection evident in Lea’s voice.

Isa smiles, a little softer this time, and pats the boy’s head. “I don’t go on dates with teenagers, but… I can chaperone you around the park, if you’d like.”

Lea gasps. “You’ll really go on a date with me, Mr. Isa?!”

“That’s not a date. It’s baby-sitting.” Kairi quips.

“Yes, I’ll be happy to show you around. Does tomorrow afternoon sound good?”

“Yes!” Lea smiles, sparkling like the sun. “That sounds perfect! I’ll meet you here? After closing shop. It closes at three on Tuesdays, right?”

“You got that right, stalker.” Kairi arranges bread set on the baskets.

“Sssh, be quiet.” Lea hushes his classmate. He looks back up at the baker with a wide grin. “I’ll see you tomorrow then, Mr. Isa!”

“See you.”

Isa and Kairi share a look once the storm of energy has left the premises. Kairi looks at her boss, broom in hand to clean the floors while the shop is empty of customers.

“Thanks for humoring him, sir. But I really hope he realizes he should stop coming to bug you.”

“It’s just a silly crush, Kairi.” Isa walks down the counter, fingers tingling to make a new pastry. “I’m sure after realizing how boring it is to hang out with someone so much older, he’ll quit this gimmick of his.”

“I sure hope so.”
