Nurse Me

Leave a “Nurse Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about my character healing yours. 

Instead, I’m gonna do a drabble about Saigal and Miryam. I know you don’t mind~.

“Saigal, this is really not necessary...” Miryam muttered, giving the fluffy eidolon a look of great consternation from her bed, where she was slowly disappearing under a pile of scarves. Her companion simply snorted, carefully arranging the last of the scarves over her blankets before darting up to the head of the bed and nuzzling her cheek. 

Even the most impressive adventurers need to take a sick day, came his voice in her mind. Your friends have already mentioned that they do not mind delaying our departure by a few days for you to rest and recover. 

Miryam snorted, too weak to argue and deciding to kiss his nose instead. “Alright, then. I suppose you have a plan, then?” Saigal nodded happily, giving a soft squeak, and skittered off to the small kitchenette in her dorm, pulling all the ingredients needed for a hearty chicken noodle soup from the cabinets, helping himself to a wayward tomato as he went. 

“Saigal?” came the call from across the room. He looked up from his preparations, carefully moving back to her bedside in such a manner that the little nurse’s cap he’d borrowed from Iraan wouldn’t fall off. Miryam moved a hand out from under the covers and scarves, stroking his ears gently.

“Thank you for always taking care of me.”

Saigal was SO delighted at being able to wear clothes again that he buried himself in a pile of scarves and settled in for a long cuddle session with Miryam.
