One Punch Man Week Day 3: Bonds

I just had a horrible fanfic idea for OPM strike. What if Saitama’s ultimate nemesis isn’t a punchable person/monster, but a pathogen. A virus or a germ.

Innocent people are dying left and right in droves. He can’t punch death of course, so all he can do is volunteer his body for experiments to develop an antibody. He has immunity. Just him.

Genos is a cyborg - he has no immune system. Dr. Kuseno places him in stasis in a sealed facility away from everyone, away from any chances of encountering an enemy that would completely destroy his brain tissue in hours. 

Sonic avoids contracting the pathogen for longer than expected, but eventually he breathes it in too. He proves hardier and more stubborn than the Hero Association would give him credit for, and he hangs on, fighting tooth and claw to cling to life, but eventually Saitama holds him in his arms, too. Cradles him while he still can.
