The ship had stopped, but they weren't disembarking to a new world or universe. The ship, its crew, were all still...resting. Dreaming. They were all in their own rooms below deck, but Goro had jolted back into consciousness. A cold sweat dripped down his cheek as he sat up in bed, his blanket twisted and wrapped haphazardly around his legs.
...Yeah, understandable. He wished he could forget what he saw in his dream, but it seemed like he was falling right back into it every time he closed his eyes.
With a shaky sigh, he pulled back the blanket after untangling himself and got to his feet. Opening the door, he took one step out to the hallway and listened. Still. Silent. Not a single word.
Slowly he shuffled down the small hallway, stopping outside Akira's room. Ahh, his nerves were frying--felt most in his arms as he lifted a hand to the doorknob and forced himself to stop. The sensation of his stomach being twisted into knots was extremely unpleasant.
Don't think about what Akira would think. At all. Please.
He inhaled fairly deep and slowly exhaled, taking the doorknob and slowly turned it. He peeked into the bedroom and--found Akira sleeping, rather soundly.
His approach was slow, arms crossed in a way that seemed like he was hugging himself. Would he...mind? They only just recently...
Gently, he pulled back the covers and crawled into bed with Akira, fitting himself into his arms and found that he could hide his face against his chest.
...He was so comfortably warm. The embrace he couldn't admit that he needed right now. It's been awhile...
He closed his eyes and nuzzled his head against Akira's chest as he drifted back to sleep.
