                      dan was used to the back and forth between lucifer and him. things have been... weird,  recently,  sure --- but things seemed to go back to some form of normal. nonetheless, this seemed... different. lucifer was on edge about something, and technically, whatever that something was wasn’t any of daniels business.. still,  he can’t help but ask.

                                    ❛ don’t. ❜      it’s all he says at first, cutting him off before he can continue with whatever he was going to say; if he were to say anything at all.  dan can’t even look at him, he knows he’d find a look of feigned pity, or worse, a reassuring smile.

                       it wasn’t something that dan had ever considered before, but he imagined that time here must feel cold in comparison to the hell fire he’s spent.. what daniel can only imagine wouldve been thousands of years in. but he speaks now,  and daniel looks over at him, pausing for a moment before turning himself to face the man.  ❛ --- yeah? ❜  he pauses, looking him over before making further comment.  ❛ --- do you,   uh,   want my jacket? ❜
