The Day of the Doctor 3D
Yo doctor-starstruck and saintjason:
The tumblr user lovelynobody00 has been drawing and reblogging a shit-ton of Night Vale fan art.
Thought y'all should know.
At the TARDIS Room tonight we ended up creating (I use this term loosely because surely someone else has thought of this before) Tarot Against Humanity. Which was a ridiculous and insane level of hilarious fun.
saintjason reblogged your post and added:
OH GOD. I feel like a moron. I NEVER REALIZED THEY WERE ALPHABETICAL BEFORE. *kicks self*
*sighs* Same here. Have never noticed until season 4. Some eps were aired in non-alphabetical order though.
Come into my fandom, said the spider to the fly
Is there some kind of merit badge for getting people into your fandoms? 'Cause I've so far gotten two people into BBC Sherlock and two into Cabin Pressure (with one person overlapping). Like, into them enough to consider going to cons and/or able to quote the shows and/or reading fanfiction.
Also there's people who've watched Sherlock in part because of me but didn't become hardcore fans because they're not that kind of person. Not sure if they count.
Flickr keeps saying it's posted these and hasn't so I'm uploading them.
ANYWAY
Saintjason, me, and Danielle were part of Portland's Tweed Ride--when people dress up in Tweed (or variations on old-fashioned clothing of a similar era) and ride our oldest (or oldest-fashioned) bicycles in a big group. There were about a hundred people, which considering the weather forecast is impressive. (The weather held out, which was a blessing.)
The first photo was taken at the tea (and whiskey/beer/wine) stop in a park, the second set in the photobooth of the end point, the bike shop VeloCult. Which had free beer courtesy of Ninkasi. (God I love Ninkasi.)
I know saintjason through LJ and going to Who trivia every week. Danielle I know through Lolita. Turns out both Jason and Danielle are Homestuck fans, and all THREE of us are classic Doctor Who fans, so there was lots of giggling and talking amongst the three of us.
(It is so odd to hear Homestucks talk to each other. Do Sherlockians sound that odd to outsiders? I kinda doubt it, unless we're talking about tumblr fandom or slash, as Sherlock doesn't involve leprechauns and god tiers and stuff.)
saintjason replied to your post: Literally the first sentence of my Latin text has...
It can also mean “To be in the possession of/under the power of (owned by, more colloquially).” if followed by an accusative (penes se esse).
Yes, I figured out - better dictionary helps everytime. Damn me and my laziness.
Thank you though ;)
A Very Good Night
Trivia was fantastic tonight. My team and I did really well. Next week's trivia is going to be on the Eighth Doctor! I am so excited. Thanks, Jason. :)
I finally tried fish fingers and custard. It was surprisingly good, although I don't think I'd choose to eat it a second time. Still, I feel like a proper Whovian now.
