Okay so I’m going to rant here because some people just d o n t understand this but Green Day is a punk band!! And you know what punk bands sing about?? Problems and society and the problems in the world we live in!! This means they get political p often!! And a good chunk of Green Day’s disgrography is about the way the United States is ran, how the people in it are affected due to x problem, and it gives them, along with so many others, a voice in a way to denounce what is wrong with the world and ways to possibly offer changes. So if you have an issue with Green Day (or any punk band of any sorts) with being political, please know that it is literally their job to do this. Because they’re a punk band. And that’s what punk bands do.
