I'm actually reading these books right now, too. I'm half-way through True Colors. I've only seen a few episodes of Rebels, so it's disappointing to here Sabine isn't exactly how you describe her here. I find all the stuff about Mandalorian culture fascinating

There is some of it---she calls Ketsu her sister, and their episode is “Blood Sister,” even if there isn’t any spoken Mando’a. And according to the wiki she does speak Mando’a, even if it’s not onscreen. But I think TCW effectively nixed most of these books with their Mandalore episodes, anyway, so idk how they fit together exactly

aww thanks! :) but yeah, i love the new silver surfer so much already because it reminds me of the best of doctor who, like the old tried-and-true episodes where there's a mad space adventure with a capable lady and a charmingly naive, yet so very not naive doctor where they end up saving the day with a bit of string and an old beatles record. 

and dawn greenwood man. she's like the best companion ever. she's never been away from her home, and then all of a sudden she's trapped in a prison in space and she's introduced to these completely foreign concepts like universal translators and phase walls and aliens, and you know she's got to be (understandably and) completely freaked out. but instead of caving in on herself and shutting down, she ends up making friends with the prisoners around her, throws food back in the face of a guard that she has no idea whether or not will kill her, and comes up with a plan to use the guy next to her's vomit of all things to break them out. and then, when faced with all of these new and amazing things (while also pretty much saving the day AND being totally non-judgmental and respectful to all of the aliens and calls all of them 'mr.' or 'ms.' even though she's got to be just a little freaked out because one dude's a blob and the other's head is a just brain), she has this profound moment of 'what the hell have i been doing with my life? why have i been staying in the same place for so long when there's so much else out there?'

if that's not textbook doctor who i don't know what is.

Yes! I started watching it a few weeks ago and have slowly became more and more obsessed with each episode. Finch and Reese are both pretty awesome and I love their interactions (and the fact they now basically own a dog together) so I can’t help but ship them. But yeah, as usually goes with my obsessions I imagine I’ll end up reblogging a lot of POI and Rinch related things. ^^;;

1) Ever since I spent most of the summer in Egypt almost 10 years ago, I don’t handle the cold as well as I used to.

2) I love cilantro. And tomatoes.

3) I love socks. Like, long knee high socks. Like, stockings kind of socks. But, I can’t find any that fit my thick thighs.

4) I really like sparkly things. Or glow in the dark things.

5) Sometimes I don’t have the patience to sit through a movie. I feel antsy or jittery and my attention span wanders. I have to be in a certain mood for movies.

I’m having an Americana problem at the moment, and all I want to do is to take a roadtrip through the midwest, and run through cornfields and swim in rivers, eat at old fashioned diners, find thrift stores off the beaten path, stay in motels uHG
