Comparison 2: Urban Plaining - Transfer Station
(i) Katsunuma
(ii) Sakaori
Location: Next to the train station(ii) V.S The middle of the road(i)
I guess the reason why there are differences between pic (i) & (ii) is because:
(ii) is located in the central of the city, near school, residential and commercial area. That in the economical sense, the spaces here should be much more expensive than the one in the mountain, thus, there are no plant (except tree) around the station and it placed next to the parking area just in front of the train station.
(i) is located in agricultural with residential and commercial area (where people live here are mainly farmer and the family). That the land mostly already belonged to the resident(private), thus, the transfer station should not placed near any land and should put somewhere that can convenient the resident there. Placed it in the middle of the mountain would help, and flowers can make the environment looks better.
In short, people living in the Inaka (the country side) would like to put more effort into the environment, because they treat the environment as a part of their home.
Yet, people living near the central of the city, would like to work hard on creating an efficient environment, that people are more value the pace of living.
People have their own ideal life, that they would like to put the attention on different thing. City, a place for people to settle down. Thus, people would build their city with what can make them feel comfortable.
