You know guys what, I just realized a few days ago that I have finally hit 100 followers! Thank you guys so much!
Considering I’ll be hitting five years on tumblr next year, I personally feel like I’m still a rookie. I’ve never been much active here and especially interactive. In just a matter of a few months my activity has floated into the skies, haha! (This is pretty bad though, because I should be writing my thesis!)
I especially want to thank the inazuma eleven fandom, who has taken care of this veteran rookie (It’ll be 8 years since I started watching Inazuma next summer :P!). Hope to see lots of wonderful posts once Ares starts to air and don’t let the fire burn out before then!
Inspired by praxiz-eights post about where Inazuma Eleven fandom members come from, I decided to do a fandom questionnaire in order to discover whom our fandom actually likes (using my schools questionnaire program, I’m such a good student, lol). A twelve simple questions, it won’t take long for you to answer and we will all get to enjoy the data I’ve collected and analyzed it. Since Ares is airing in the summer, I wanted to do this now so that I can compare the statistics once Ares airs and we most likely get new fandom members.
The questionnaire is simple, anonymous and you’re not obligated to answer all or any of the questions if you don’t want to - but that also means I won’t get as accurate data. Here’s just a few things to take into note while answering the questions.
1. Inazuma Eleven vs. GO
Inazuma Eleven characters who appear in GO are counted as two different characters. You can vote for Teenage Endou to be your favorite Inazuma Eleven character and Adult Endou for GO. Inazuma Eleven Kageyama and GO Kageyama are also two different people, but Ishido Shuuji and GO Gouenji are the same person.
You’re also allowed to vote for all Inazuma Eleven and GO movie characters, expect for Danball Senki characters.
2. Female Characters
Someone here posted that Inazuma Eleven has like 1,339 characters... So you can choose your top guys for Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven GO. Meanwhile the female ratio is much smaller and thus they have only one questionnaire. This is why please be sure to mention whether you’re voting for Otonashi Haruna or Otonashi Haruna GO.
3. Your Top 5
Even if it says your top five, if you have only two or three characters you like or pairings you ship just write them down. I’m all good with just that. :)
The questionnaire is open till January 29th and results will be out in February once I have analyzed all the data and made statistics out of them. Everyone have fun and spead the love of Inazuma Eleven (and this post) so that I could get as much answers as possible to have reliable data.
Thanks zappyspiker for posting this. I finally got my own done.
This is a “Get to know the fandom member” meme. The original post was posted by praxis-eight and can be found here.
How long have you been a fan of Inazuma Eleven?
¤ The earliest memories of me writing IE fanfic is from summer 2010, so I guess about 7-8 years.
How did you find out about Inazuma Eleven?
¤ We were watching Pokemon Special fanmade videos and then we stumbled upon one of Pokemon Special x Inazuma Eleven openings. Then we found the rest of IE openings. In the fourth opening, I discovered Nagumo and later wanted to find out who that guy was. I was so disappointed he wasn’t the MC or any major character (lol).
Favourite IE Character(s)
¤ My two weaknesses are red-heads and albino’s. Hand’s down its Nagumo – but I also have soft sport for Shirou, Hiroto/Tatsuya, Suzuno and Midorikawa.
Favourite IEGO Character(s)
¤ The future children: Fei and Saryuu (seriously, this has everything to do with his hair!) and Yukimura! Lately, I’ve been warming up to Shindou and then there’s Shuu.
Least Favourite Character(s)
¤ Himeoka… I mean Someoka.
Favourite OTP and ships?
¤ I think I’ve grown out of the BL shippings, but I’ll list some that used to be the strongest.
¤ Nagumo x Suzuno
¤ Hiroto x Midorikawa
¤ Endou x Natsumi (ever since, GO, I think, My only OTP as of now).
Favourite BROTP?
¤ Most of the past shippings. So NaguSuzu, HiroMido.
¤ Top 3/Top 5
¤ Break Trio
¤ RanTaku
If you were in a team of your choosing, which school?
¤ I feel like I’ll be going to Hakuren. I wouldn’t miss the snow and I feel like Shirou is a kind captain.
What position would you be playing?
¤ Defender. No good with offence, and I fear the ball too much to be a goalkeeper, lol.
Favourite hissatsu move(s)?
¤ Fire Phoenix
¤ The Birth
¤ Fire Blizzard (seriously, I wrote Fire Tornado at first!)
Favourite Season?
¤ The second, do I need to explain? My favorite characters got the most screen time in this season!
Favourite Episode?
¤ I kinda want to believe it was the last episode! Also, that Kappa-episode.
What does Inazuma Eleven mean to you?
¤ It was the first fandom I really got into and it was the reason I started to write fanfics. Thanks to it, my writing, storytelling and English has improved so much and even my mother has been supportive on my writing. I’ve been sticking to it for almost 8 years, which is the longest I have ever done with any fandom.
Do you contribute to the fandom? (Graphics/Gifs/Writing/Art/ Supporter).
¤ I’m a writer… Yeah.
Recommend some of your favourite Inazuma Eleven blogs
¤ I’m pretty new to the fandom in tumblr, so I’m just gonna name a few that I started following recently.

Prince and the Pauper is one of my favourite stories in the IE fandom in general. I find OC submission stories very hard to get into since a lot of writers just throw them in without establishing them propperly, but with Prince and the Pauper, I cared for all the OCs as much as I cared for the original cast
Despite being my third multichapter story, I myself find the story amazing! There are many characters and many stories, but in the end it all revolves around Fubuki brothers. It was a simple idea of switching their place, but the story became so much more. I never really expected for that to happen. Prince and the Pauper is a story where every character is there for a reason, which is why it’s easy to work with all of them. I think the problem with establishing the characters to the story, is that there’s already many original characters and now if you add the OC’s without much of a reason, the story will fall. That happened to me with As the Sun Burns Red, which I am now hoping to fix. I hurried the story, not giving the characters enough time to shine.
Now, what comes to Prince and the Pauper, it was only 4 years later when I finally realized what I wanted from the story. My style has also changed very much in the past years, which is why I decided to work on a re-write before updating a new chapter. There will be added plot twits, more concentrating on a characters I’ve ignored till now and connecting pieces together to fill the plot holes.
While Prince and the Pauper has been a main story, I got so fascinated in the world of the Wizards of Chaos so much that the universe spread. There’s a story about Razel von Cresto, a wizard with powers to communicate with monsters. She’s the daughter of Elder and nicknamed as the Monster Whisperer. She’s also the first wizard in human world, united Aphrodi’s ancestors with the house of wizards, and was the person who created/gathered the first Chaos. In Prince and the Pauper she appears as a recurring character, but in this new story she’s the MC. Yours Truly, Sakuchii
Now I'm curious, what are some of the worst memories you had? Or bad things that happened in the fandom?
Worst ones, huh?
In the earlier years in fanfiction.net when there was this quest reviewer who reviewed practically to everyone “your writing sucks” without any proper reason. Don’t get me wrong, I personally love to hear what people found negative in my stories, but that needs to be done in a constructive way. Now, spamming inspiring writers (who in this fandom are mostly in their early teens) with negative comments with no explanation can hurt their pride to the point they decide to abandon their stories and writing overall. I remember the comment hit me hard when I got it for the first time, but then I realized it’s been posted on others authors stories as well. This period sucked, but gladly it didn’t last long.
Now, as a submission writer, you sometimes have to deal with - how to say it - “difficult” people. I find myself easy to deal with people, but there are those types who go on expressing their own ideas and wishes, while completely ignoring your replies. Like, you told that character A couldn’t be used as a crush because of his timeline and once you receive the submission the person used character A as the crush. When you have trouble dealing with the author, your feeling towards their characters gets complicated too. Like “Oh, this OC is from them, I wonder how can I handle them” (sigh).
But what I truly consider as the worst memory in the fandom is - as I call them - “The Reader Insert War” what was going on in 2014/2015. For some reason, the reader insert stories got popular all of a sudden and there were also many of new writers who started with them as their first story. Now, by the rules of fanfiction.net these kind of stories are forbidden, and a lot of old writers - some speaking in the name of 11th Division or any other Rule Committee - commented on them for breaking the rule. Some were kind and reasonable, some were not. The authors of those stories reacted differently too - some ignored, some quit writing and some started fighthing back with “rules are made to be broken” mentality. Because of the Reader-Inserts there were no interesting stories to read and my head hurt to read those reviews. I temporarily left the fandom for about two years making a full return in 2016.
Now, Love Pondering is my take on reader-inserts. I don’t like them, the writing style disturbs me, which is why I ignored a lot Inazuma stories during those two years. I had fun writing Haikyuu! and Cry of A Fallen Cry is my most popular story to date.
Then of course, it was sad to see your fellow writers leave the fandom and their stories. There will always be new amazing writers, but I feel like the fandom is still healing it’s wounds from 14/15. I truly hope the baby will get better soon.
What are your nicest memories of the Inazuma Eleven fandom and writing fanfictions for it?
I’ll have some fun while answering to this. Being a part of the fandom since 2010/2011, I’ve experienced the ups and downs. The cons usually leave a stronger expression on your mind, which is why they’re easier to remember. Please take into notice that aside of the fanfiction.net fandom, I have never been in IE fandom of tumblr or other sites.
But pros exceed all the cons. The most memoriable time in fandom was the beginning, the time of the original series, the time of Endou and Sakka Yarose. There were some exeptional writers back in the time and we interracted with each other daily, not only on fanfiction.net but on facebook as well. I’m still in contact with those writers, though our passion for Inazuma is on different scale now, lol. Continuing, there’s the OC submission stories. Damn, I had so much fun creating them and also loved submissing my OC’s to my fellow authors. Because of the submissions I got to understand my OC so much better. Writing those fanfics was another thing though, and as I recall I have finished only one of them so far (bad me).
Being an immature teen was fun. Then GO happened, Tenma and Sakka Naiteiru happened, and I grew up. GO sadly didn’t affect me as much as the original series, but it brought to us a few of my favorites characters there are - like Fei and Saryuu. Thanks to GO I was able to create one my personally favorite series - The Scattered Beaker. Still, it was 2011 that brought out my masterpiece, one of my strongest fanfics (again, personal opinion) that is currently under some heavy editing, Prince and the Pauper, or Korishabetto - Tale of a Prince and a Pauper, as it will be known in the future.
Lately I’ve taken more serious aproach on the stories, which is why I’m editing the old and completed ones. It’ll take forever to work on them, but I’ll do my best. I’m sure with the airing of Ares the fanfiction.net might become more lively. Can’t wait to see that happen!Yours Truly, Sakuchii
I don't think it's "rude" to use other people's art when credeting them, but you could always ask the original artist if you want to make it's fine
Thanks. I see that people’s opinion on this varies. I’ll on watch to check what to do with banners. It’s highly possible that original content will be used once Ares starts airing. Damn, I love that smooth art style. Yours Truly, Sakuchii
You really shouldn't use other peoples' art for your banners that's rude.
Thank you for your kind reminder.
I know it is rude to use other peoples’ art that’s why I’m adding the original artist / source whenever I find it. (like I said in one of the news). Of course, that still doesn’t justice what I do, I guess. I’ll be toning it down and using original material rather than fanmade. :) Yours Truly, Sakuchii
