Top answers would be 'keep going, I can visit some other time', 'I'd go in really quick to check/buy something and then head out' or 'I'd go in to browse and then leave once they start to close up'.

Really we were just ranting about people who come in and saunter around and stay 10 minutes after close just browsing (even though we hinted and announced that we were closed more than once) and maybe they want to buy something but they're going to stare and rummage through all the products at cash as well while the employees patiently wait and stare.
