everybody wants to be a cat // sakura
"Ah, here you go!" The petite girl smiled as she knelt down and held out a hand to feed a couple of stray tabby cats, who took the cat food gratefully. She watched fondly as they ate, making the funniest expressions and noises. They were all just adorable, and as much as she'd like to take as much of them home, under her care, all she could afford was a couple of cans of cat food from the Mini Mart and her unlimited affections.
"Looks like you guys haven't caused any trouble while I wasn't around, have you?"
In truth, Ayano had stopped by Holly Park a little earlier than she usually did and carried an extra ration of cat food mostly out of excitement. Unlike her obligations, specifically (and only, rather) for school, which she sometimes forgot until the day or hour before they had to be done, she had remembered her conversation with a friend she had become acquainted with the other day with clarity. The arrangement was that they'd meet up at one o'clock by the bell tower, and although there were still five, ten minutes until the agreed time, Ayano found herself feeding some of the cats that recognized her already.
'Would she mind... ?' Though she didn't know Sakura well enough to figure out the answer, she still felt somewhat guilty, and stood up from her crouching position. Adjusting her scarf, which she had always insisted on wearing despite the temperature, she scanned the crowd that had begun to assemble before her.
Hmm--? Hey, was that her? Ayano waved a bit at one of the figures, immediately spotting a familiar pair of green eyes and pink hair. "Sakura-saaan!"
I notice the smile on your face, fake or not, it still hurt worse. I quickly step towards you again and punch you in the jaw. "Saying such things like that can really hurt people Sai. You may not have emotions, but when you call people such hurtful things like that, its really mean and rude."
Sai looked away, rubbing his jaw again. "Is that so? I tried being nice and asked you to go on a stroll with me."
My eyes narrow, feeling kind of hurt that you would say that and I step away from you. Not getting mad but becoming sad and hurt. "N-No.. I think I heard Tsunade-sama calling for me. Why don't you find someone who isn't 'fat' to hangout with?"
Sai blinked and smiled in amusement. "Oh? Are you sure?" He asked, feeling accomplished that he's upsetting the girl away.
I smile lightly and say "You're welcome. We've been good, Naruto's been training harder then ever. But I guess that's nothing new."
"Hn. Is that so?" He said, closing his drawing pad and standing up. "Well, would you like to go somewhere then? You'll get fatter if you sit around a lot."
I quickly walk around from in front of you, and look over your shoulder, watching you finish your drawing. "It looks nice Sai."
"..Thanks." He mumbled, not really enjoying compliments. "So. How have you and Naruto been?"
"No, no. Of course not."
"Okay then.." Sai looked down, staring at the girl out of the corner of is eye. As it seemed the girl wasn't going to go away he sighed and accepted his fate. "...I'm almost done." He said, rubbing a blue pastel onto his paper.
"I was wondering because you draw really well. When your finished.. can I see it?" I scratch the back of my head.
Sai looked stared at her with a rather blank expression. "You seem interested... Do I need to harass you?"
