Let’s see, drunken prompts…okay so Sakura drunkenly declares her love for (idk man, I’m in between kaka and shika) after hiding it for months lmao
Sakura is used to the words being trapped behind her teeth -- is used to trapping the words behind her teeth. Because she sees him and she wants to tell him but...
But she doesn't want to actually tell him. She told Sasuke how she felt, and she knows how that went. Hell, most of the Konoha 12 know how that went.
She's not a shy person in general, and she does her best not to be ashamed of telling people how she feels, but she will admit that after her attempts at twelve she's perhaps a little more withdrawn than before.
(She falls somewhere between Hinata and Ino now, instead of at Ino's level, which she doesn't think is bad -- and really for most people is still fairly outgoing but...but she's been burned before and her hesitance is, she thinks, reasonable.)
So when she sees Shikamaru, when he comes to her bitching about Temari, when he comes to chat with her she doesn't say anything -- she swallows the words and smiles waves him off but --
But right now she's drunk.
And he wasn't supposed to be here.
Last thing she knew he was on a mission and wasn't supposed to be back for another three days but -- but he's here.

"You're blind," she tells him, leaning far too close, even as she tells herself to shut up to not say more.
He arches an eyebrow at her and takes the shot glass out of her hand. "That's something I've never been accused of."
"No one says it to your face," she counters, but she doesn't fight him for the shot, "but that doesn't mean no one thinks it."
He tips the shot glass back and then smirks at her, far more smug and confident then he should be, "Oh? What am I missing?"
She considers him for a moment before leaning back, grabbing one of the bottles of water Ino had the foresight to order a few rounds ago and taking a drink. "You're smart about some things," she says, calmly, "but an idiot about others. And I am honestly upset about how attracted to you I am. So either man up and be someone I'd be willing to date or just...go to Suna and actually fight for Temari instead of expecting her to do everything. I'm embarrassed for you. Take a cement pill and harden up." She finishes her water, takes the new shot on the bar that he hasn't grabbed, shoots that, and then decides to leave.
He's too surprised to stop her.
These are things she may regret tomorrow, but for now they all seem reasonable.
